˗ˏˋ Lydia'ˎ˗

Little feet wandered down the stairs, blonde hair falling on her half asleep and dazed face. Her favorite plush tucked underneath her arm as she yawned slightly. Cheeks pink from the autumn chill that was setting peacefully in the atmosphere.

"You're up early little miss" Her head turned towards the middle aged lady standing near the kitchen counter with an apron on, the stove running in front of her.

Helen. She was the one assigned to look after Lydia when she was just two. Helen worked with a childcare organization that helped kids find good foster homes. She didn't have kids of her own, so she loved having Lydia around. It kept her grounded is what she'd tell people.

"Its Waffles day !!" Lydia cheered over the light hum of the small radio playing in the background. Helen chuckled, nodding in agreement to the excitement.

"Indeed it is, and your waffles are ready. Chocolate syrup, whipped cream and strawberries. Now have you-"

"Yes ! I brushed my teeth and changed my clothes" She cuts her off, climbing on the kitchen table chair. Helen laughs, placing her plate of waffles in front of the little girl who went straight to eating her breakfast without wasting even a minute.

While the girl ate, she opened her phone tapping away in a hurry as she cleared some things around the house. Her phone rang, grabbing Lydia's attention slightly.

"Is it fine if I bring her in with me ? You should've given me prior warning so that I could find a babysitter. I'll make sure she doesn't cause any problems"

Helen walks into the room, taking the empty plate and placing it in the sink beside the rest of the utensils.

"Where are we going Helen ?" Lydia asks, leaning ecstatically on the white marble countertop.

"Well, I'm taking you to work with me today. Would you like to meet some new people Ly ?" Helen asks, grabbing her hand as she led them upstairs to change and shower.

"Yes !! Are they like me !? Do they play dolls !?" She asks as Helen washed her hair, making soap bubbles with her little hands. Helen snorted, shaking her head.

"If you ask, I'm sure they'd agree on that too" She smiles.

Once done, she wraps her up in a towel walking out to quickly change her clothes. She ties her hair in two pigtails that bounce off her shoulders each time she skipped along down the stairs. She had her Winnie the Pooh plush tucked under her arm, Helen carrying her dolls so that she could stay occupied while they worked.

"Buckled up ?" She asks, looking back at Lydia in the car seat at the back and she nods with a big grin.

She nods, backing out of the little garage of her house. As they near a tall building, people buzzing in and out of the place like swarm of bees.

Helen latches her ID on her shirt - Costume Head / Co-Ordinator.
