"What's wrong, Kiddo?" Patton asked, sensing that Virgil was feeling down.
"Nothing," Virgil muttered, sitting at the kitchen counter.
Patton sighed a little. "Want the usual?"
Virgil nodded.
Patton nodded and poured Virgil a glass of chocolate almond milk, sliding it to him with a cookie.
"Thanks, Patton," Virgil said, then took a bite of the cookie and a drink of the milk.
"Of course, Kiddo," Patton smiled at him. "If you want to talk about it, I'm here to listen, but I'm not going to push you."
"Thanks."
The two sat there in silence for a while, eating their cookies and drinking their chocolate milk, until Virgil broke the silence. "I'm just worried that he'll change his mind," Virgil muttered.
"Who will change who's mind about what?" Patton asked.
"Roman about his feelings for me..."
"Oh, Kiddo. He loves you so much. His feelings for you wouldn't just change like that."
"You think so?" Virgil asked unsurely.
"I know so, Kiddo!" Patton insured him.
