"Well, Well, who's going on his first date?" said Max

#FACEPALM

As soon as she texted me about going out, I lost myself in doubt. Even boys will be just like girls if they are going out with a girl for the first time. I wanted to ask for the boy's opinion, but I deleted the text that I kept in our group right away. I just felt that it's not really a good idea to share this thing with Lucas and Ben.

I waited nearly an hour to choose my dress. I'm just embarrassed for myself. I looked like one of those girls in the movies who gets ready for hours for a date with her boyfriend. Well, this is not a date, so I chose a blue and black hoodie and torn jeans. In my head I ran a million possibilities on how this meeting with Anna could go down, I was not prepared for this meeting in any way.

Having just started out with a girl, I never thought it would be so exciting and tense at the same time. I wanted to go out but it was taking a long time to show 6. I stopped myself until 4:30 but I couldn't. I couldn't wait any longer. The more I stayed at home, the more anxious I felt, and the more likely it seemed that this thing with Anna would be called off. Therefore, I decided to come out and wait at the café for her. I ripped off the piece of paper with my poem and walked out of my room. But ...

I ran into my brother as I was leaving the house. He was watching TV in the hall and I knew he could tell I was going out with a girl from my outfit, so I went back inside. I turned back to go to my room as if it were nothing, but I heard him saying "Well, Well, whose going on his first date?" and stood there still with the dismay.

As I sat in the couch beside him and tried to act natural, I said, "No one is going on a date. I'm just going to Lucas's"

"Maybe mom will believe what you say. But not me, so don't try." He said in a loud voice so my mom could hear him.

"Well, I am going out with a girl but." I said, and my mother interrupted me.

"What will I believe?" mom said, as she stepped out of the kitchen holding a napkin.

"The lie William tells about his date with a girl," Max replied

She opened her eyes wide open in shock as she said, "You're going on a date"

Trying to put that conversation behind me, I replied, "Nope, I am not.".

Max said, "I just heard you said you were going out with a girl."

"You heard it?" I said #facepalm again. Nodding and winking, he went back to watching TV.

My mother asked, "Are you really going on a date?"

"I'm just going out with her. It's definitely not a date Mom."

"Where are you and the other going? Does anyone else plan to join you?" asked mom

I replied, "Nope, just both of us and we're meeting at the café"

"And it's not a date?" my mother and Max asked at just the right time

"Yep! It's not"

"Well, whatever. You should have the opportunity to give something to a girl when you meet her. Wait.." she said, walking away.

"Where are you going mom?" I said and looked at Max, "How did you know I am going out with a girl?"?

"You combed your hair, wore that hoodie I selected for you. And I saw Lucas and Ben and Liam in the park as I was walking home," he said as he continued to watch The Love Island on television.

"You should go to hell," I said

I was given a rose by mom when she said "here you go"

"A rose? Is this what it looks like?" I asked
