"So you didn't want to share this with us" Lucas said holding my head between his arms

Trying to fight him but I couldn't, I said, "I don't know why I didn't, but I think it's for the best.".

It's the monday evening. As I did not go to school that day, Lucas and Ben called me after school to meet them in the park. I arrived at the park and went straight to our meeting spot. I thought we were just going to hang out, but the first thing Lucas did when I got there was to grab me by the shoulder and ask why I hadn't told them about the date with Anna. I have no idea how they heard about it.

Lucia let me go and said, "Well, do you think it best to keep your date a secret?"?

I caught my breath as I said, "First of all, it's not a date, and second of all, how do you guys know about it?"

"The whole class knew. You missed the whole show." Ben said, keeping his phone in his pocket.

"Wait, nobody in the class can see us together. It is almost night. How can anyone find out about that?" I asked.

"I don't know why, but it's true that everyone thinks of you and Anna as more than friends and..."

Lucas interrupted Ben and asked, "The real question here is why did you not tell us about your date with Anna?"

"It all happened so fast, she just texted me telling me we'd meet in the evening, so I didn't have time to say anything." I lied.

"Well, I guess you finally went on a date William."

"I have told you over and over again that it's not a date. She just wanted to meet me and spend the weekend with me. She must be bored staying home."

"Where did you guys go?" Ben asked

"We went to ROR." I said and Lucas said, "you went?"

"We had dinner"

As Lucas interrupted me again, "did you eat without me?"

"Can you let me finish?" "after that, we went to 7-11, she bought some things and I walked her up to the clock tower."

Ben asked, "You didn't even walk up to her house?"

"No, I know I should have, but when I offered to walk with her to her home, she told me her mother didn't know she was with me, so I decided it was better to let her walk alone."

"You really went to ror without me?" said Lucas for the third time.

Ben handed Lucas some money and said, "Lucas, can you get us a drink?"

Then Ben started to ask questions. Lucas went away happily as if nothing mattered with my story.

"You still don't get that she likes you? She called you out, went with someone she has only known for one month, walked with you at night, calls you regularly with those words 'baby' and 'darling'?

"I know she likes me too, I don't deny it, but I'm just keeping myself in the safe zone by not deciding everything by myself. You know better than Lucas that I don't want any complications with Anna." I sat on the bench while talking to ben

Ben said, "So you don't think it's more than just a friendship?"

"Maybe I am feeling more toward her, but by her side, the only amity exists." I quoted a line from my poem

"Amity?" asked ben

"I meant friendship."

"Well, it's only friendship from her side. But what about you?"
