Lucifer x Reader

Your POV

"So it's true, you have fallen from grace..." I freeze at the voice behind me, hearing his footsteps coming closer, he continues talking. "All this time away from each other, I expected you to come straight to me if you fell.... But you didn't... How long have you been down here?" He asks, I stayed quiet, unable to answer, unable to face him. He grabbed my shoulders and spun me around to face him, clearly annoyed by my silent treatment. "How. Long." He said, anger dripping from his words.

".... Six months." I answered. "Look at me." He said, I almost didn't but I didn't want to anger him any further so I looked at him, he looked incredibly pissed off, he was even in his demon form. We stared at each other for what felt like hours, over time, his angry expression softens and is soon replaced with a look of sadness and betrayal. "Why? Why didn't you come to me? If it weren't for my brothers, I wouldn't have known you were here. Have you fallen out of love with me?" He was on the verge of tears at this point, I wasn't very far behind either.

I looked at him with guilt. "I'm sorry... You looked so happy with them I-" "Them?" He cut me off. "The human, you two looked happy together, I didn't want to ruin it, it would be selfish to show up when you've already moved on.... So I didn't, I hid before you could see me." I explained. "You misunderstood, they are nothing more than family to me. Not a day has passed without you being on my mind, I'm still very much in love with you." He says.

"You are?" I asked with a shocked expression. "Hmph, did you not think I would still be in love with you? I'm disappointed." He said. "Ah no it's just that... It's been awhile." I tried to explain myself but he was having none of it. "If you don't believe me then I'll have to make you believe me." He says. "Oh no I believe you, it's just that- Woah!" He picked me up and tossed me on the bed in seconds.

"A warning would've been nice." I said as he hovered over me. "Saying that I'll show you that I love you is enough of a warning." He says before placing a gentle kiss on my lips. "Mmm, I missed you dearly." He says before peppering me in more kisses. "I missed you too." I replied with my eyes closed, I savored the gentleness of his kisses, knowing that he'll turn rough any moment.
