Lucifer x Reader

(Ok so.... I use a different app to write stories, a notebook app thing and it doesn't show the word count.... I wrote almost 3000 words in this oneshot... wtf, now I know why it took so long to write, so yeah hope you enjoy 😅)

You're POV 

"Come on Yn! It'll be fun!" My friend pleads with me, I shake my head. "Nope, not interested. You know I'm not a party person. Besides, won't it just be you, me and your boyfriend going since the others are busy? I'll be a third wheel!" I complained. "Maybe if you left your house you'd actually find someone, you haven't left your house in two months! That's why I'm inviting you, I will be with my boyfriend but you'll be getting flirted with, someone might ask you to dance!" She exclaims. 

"Flirted with? Do you know who you're talking to? I look like shit." I say. "Yes I know who I'm talking to, I'm talking to my very beautiful but very insecure friend who's too shy to put herself out there so her supportive friend is helping her be less lonely." She says while putting a hand on my shoulder, before I could reply, her boyfriend comes in. 

"Hey babe. So Yn are you coming to the party?" He asks me after greeting my friend, I shake my head in response. "It's a masquerade ball." He says. "Well shit that's all you had to say, I'll be there, gotta go order a dress. Bye!" I say before running up to my room, I hear my friend shout 'ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, THAT'S ALL IT TOOK?!' While her boyfriend laughs loudly at her reaction, I chuckle before going on my laptop to shop for a dress and a mask.

Timeskip to party 

I told my friend to go without me since the point of a masquerade was for it to be a secret. Fixing my mask, I enter the castle and spot my friend almost immediately since she always exaggerates her outfits, she was dancing with her boyfriend so I decide to go raid the buffet table, free food and from the castle too. After I had my fill, I went to go stand in a corner like the introvert that I am, I looked at all the people dancing and having fun while my potato self is just here.

I felt someone tap my shoulder and look over to see a very tall man with- wait a minute, is that Lucifer? THE Lucifer is speaking to ME? I try my best to keep myself from freaking out, I give him a small smile. "Um, hi." I say quietly, he chuckles at my shyness. "Hello, I couldn't help but notice you just standing here, are you alone?" He asks.

"Um yes- I mean no- I.... Kind of? My friend is here but she's dancing with her boyfriend so I'm just... Here." I manage to stammer out a response. "I see. Well, since you don't have a partner, you will dance with me." He says... Nani? "M-me? Uh I'm sure you can find someone better to dance with." I said while looking down and fiddling with my dress, I jump slightly when I feel him gently grab my hand and pulled me closer to him, he leans in close to my ear.

 "I don't remember asking." He whispers in my ear, I feel my face get hot as he guides me to the dance floor before sliding one of his hands on my waist, his other hand in mine, I take my free hand and place it on his shoulder. He takes the lead as we move in sync, I look away, too shy to look him in the eyes, I notice almost everyone staring at us now that I took my attention off of him, it scared me a little since a lot of them seemed to be glares of jealousy. 

I feel a finger under my chin as it guides my face to look Lucifer. "Where are you looking? You are supposed to look at me, don't pay attention to any stares. Only look at me, understood?" He says, his voice deepening more than usual, I quickly nod, he smiles before leaning in, I would've jumped back in surprise but his arm holding me in a securing grip prevents me from doing so, he places his forehead on mine and stares into my eyes.
