Chapter 4

Honk honk

"Uo, Tohru is here!" Hana called from the front door.

Uo rushed downstairs with a tank top and shorts. "Okay I'm ready."

Hana gaped at her choice of clothing. "Your kidding, right?"

"Fine I'll bring my coat just in case... And I'll wear boots." Uo added.

"Good, my senses say its gonna be very chilly at the Winter Festival." Hana observed.

The two friends walked out Hana's house all warm and cozy. Uo was still in her shorts but she didn't seem bothered with the cold weather.

"Hi Hana, hi Uo!" Tohru waved from inside the car with the window rolled down.

Shigure got out of the car and opened the door for the two ladies. "After you." He said.

"Thanks." Hana and Uo replied as they stepped insid the vehicle.

Shigure closed the door and got back in the drivers seat. "High school girls! High school girls! 1, 2, 3! High school girls!" He sang.

Kyo who was in the passengers seat shot daggers at Shigure who abruptly stopped singing.

In the back sat Uo and Hana and behind them sat Yuki and Tohru.

"I can't wait to go to the festival!" Tohru said to her friends. "It'll be our first time going!"

Hana turned around and smiled. "I can't wait either."

"Yeah especially the sledding competition." Uo added. "What do you say orange top?" She poked Kyo. "Ready for a competition?"

Kyo hesitated. "Sure! Its much better going against that damn Yuki. But don't be surprised if I beat you." He smirked.

Uo laughed. "Yeah okay, but don't be surprised if I beat you, orange top."

Kyo grinned evilly. "Try me."

Tohru sat quietly in the back with Yuki hearing all her friends talk, it made her happy that all of them were getting along.

Tohru looked out the window on her right. Everywhere she looked she saw snow. The bright powders lit up as the sun touched the snowy ground. The hills were covered in thick layers of snow which looked like lumps of vanilla ice cream.

Tohru turned to her left where Yuki was sitting, only to find him asleep. She giggled. He looks so peaceful..

She got out her mom's picture from her bag and held it in her arms.

"Look mom." Tohru whispered. "So much snow. Its beautiful."

"Okay everyone, the drive to the Winter festival will be about an hour drive, so I suggest you all take a nap or something." Shigure insisted.

"Oh alright." Kyo grumbled. He shifted in his seat and became still.

Uo turned around. "Looks like the Prince is already asleep." She smirked looking at Yuki. "You should get some sleep too Tohru."

Tohru nodded. "Okay, you too Uo and Hana."

They murmered in agreement and drifted to sleep.

Tohru was the only one awake, besides Shigure's since he couldn't sleep. Well duh he's the driver xD.

Instead of drifting to sleep Tohru gazed over her friends, smiling as they were sleeping. Uo and Hana were both leaning against the door next to them. In front Kyo positioned his feet on top of the board in from of him, his orange hair visible through the head rest. And next to Tohru, was Yuki. She stared at him the longest watching his chest rise and fall at a steady beat with his breathing.

Suddenly Tohru realized how tired she was from last night, she stayed up late packing her clothes for the trip. He head slowly began to nod and her eyelids fell slightly until she leaned against the window and let sleep take over...
