sixteen | a massive douche

JADEN GROANED AT HIS ALARM BLARING THROUGH HIS EARS. He got up and shut the damn thing off. He rolled on his back and stared at the ceiling, thinking. Jaden had seemed to be doing a lot of thinking lately. He reluctantly got out of his bed and walked over to his dresser. He grabbed a clean pair of boxers and walked into his small bathroom. 

He turned the shower on and let it heat up. As it was heating up he used the bathroom and washed his hands. He stepped in the shower, growing as the hot water soothed his muscles. Which reminded him; he needed to get back to the gym. When he ran over his arms with body wash he could feel the events from a few days ago. Guilt washed over him, but he quickly shook those thoughts away.

He washed his hair and then his body. He washed the soap off and got out to dry himself. After he was dried and lotioned up, he walked back into his room and went over to his makeshift dresser he grabbed some baggy jeans and a baggy sweatshirt. He made sure that his cuts were cleaned and bandaged. He fixed his hair and then grabbed a protein bar and an energy drink.

He made sure he had all his things in his bag and that his water was filled. Once they were he checked his phone and then looked at the emails on his computer. He saw that he had one from Colson.

He sighed and opened it, "Jaden Hossler, I know you don't want to hear from me or even see me. But I need to talk with you. I have been a massive douche and I realized I have never given you an explanation. And you deserve one, so if you are up for a late-night meeting, please respond and we can work it out from there. I don't want to apologize over email, I'd rather do it in person. But please get back to me, and hear me out. I know I am a massive douche. Kisses, Cole."

Jaden sighed. As much as he didn't want to see his pretty face, he knew he was going to. Jaden wasn't the person to hold grudges against anyone.

No matter how much they fucked him over. He quickly typed a response to Colson. "You're right, I don't want to see you. But I know I am going to. So I guess I am up to meeting with you. I expect a damn good explanation. The things you said to me, caused grave pain. I won't guilt trip you over email, I'd rather do that in person. You have my info, so text me where and when you'd like to meet, Jaden." He hit send and then put his computer in his bag. He checked the time and it was eight forty-six.

Meaning he had to go. He slung his bag over his shoulder and then walked out the door.

He met with Nessa, who wore the biggest smile on her face.

"Alright, why are you happy?" He asked.

"Oh, no reason... HE ASKED ME ON A SECOND DATE!" She squealed.

Jaden smiled, "That's amazing Ness" he hugged her and she hugged back.

As he was putting her down the sleeve of his hoodie rolled up revealing his bandages. Nessa gasped as she saw them.

"Jae—"

"—I've handled it, Ness, no need to worry. So please can we talk about something else?" He quickly said. He didn't want his arms to the attention of anything anymore. She softly apologized and started walking.

"So I know you may not want to talk about it... but anything new with Colson?" She asked.

Jaden scratched the back of his neck, "He and I have a meeting at some point, either today or in the next few. He emailed me asking to talk, and I said yes. I don't know how or even what he's gonna do. But I should hear him out," he sighed.

"I think you should. I talked to Xan about it, and they think you should too. They also said it was your final choice to stay with him or just leave him. Xan, Cooper, and I all want what's best for you, just make sure your judgment is good. And hey, if it all ends well, makeup sex." She wiggled her brows, making Jaden laugh.

"Yeah..." He said. They continued walking to Colson's class talking about anything random.

They sat down and waited for Colson to arrive.

"Bro this is about to be very awkward," Jaden mumbled.

"You're not wrong," Nessa patted his shoulder.

Just as they looked down, Colson was there. He looked a lot better, a little happier, and well-groomed now. He looked up at Jaden with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

"Okay, so; I honestly don't have any sort of plan for today. And we are a little ahead, so you all are free to go and do as you please. But there are a few that I do need to talk to now, and the rest have gotten an email about meeting later to talk about your performance in my class. Have a nice day," he said. Jaden smiled and so did Nessa.

They gathered their stuff and walked out of the class. Jaden was in that "later" group that Colson was referring to.

They walked to the courtyard and sat down at the table waiting for Cooper.

Cooper quickly found them and sat with them. "So I talked to Xan, and they have a break off of school for a bit. And they wanted to know if they could come up and see us. Around next week I think. Thoughts?" Cooper said giddily.

Jaden broke out into the biggest smile ever, "YES OF COURSE!" he yelled.

"Sure I'm fine with that, I mean I haven't met them in person but I'm down," Nessa said.

Cooper pulled out his phone and unlocked it, "bet I'll text them."

Jaden then broke out into a fit of laughter. Cooper and Nessa looked at him like he was insane. His laughter died down and he looked at him, "Xan is going to want to beat Colson's ass." Both Cooper and Nessa agreed.

"Yeah, especially after what has happened. And what might happen, they would beat yours too," Nessa said.

Cooper looked confused, "what do you mean by 'what might happen?" He asked.

Jaden and Nessa looked at each other and then back at Cooper. He was always the last to know.

"I have a meeting with Colson soon, I don't know if it's today or tomorrow, maybe even in a few days. But all I know is that I have a meeting with him," Jaden said.

Cooper nodded, "okay, just be careful with your choice." Jaden sighed in agreement.

They all continued talking till Jaden got a phone call. He quickly excused himself and walks a distance away.

"Hello?"
