eleven | like father, like daughter

Jaden woke in the morning to an empty bed. He groaned as he sat up, he looked to his side and saw his phone, wallet, keys, and a bottle of water with some painkillers. He also saw a small note on his phone. "Went to go get my daughter, I'll be back shortly. Left you some Tylenol (I'm not drugging you) and some water. If your phone needs a charge just use mine on the other side of the bed. Feel free to make yourself at home. I'll see you when I get back— Kisses, Cole"

He smiled at the note and took the meds, he looked at his phone and it indeed; needed a charge. He rolled over on the bed and plugged his phone in. He rolled on his back and starfished out on the bed. The red satin-covered his lower half as he stared at the ceiling. He smiled to himself, thinking back to the events of last night. 

He sighed and got out of the bed. He still had Colson's clothes on. He groaned in pain as he stood on his feet. He walked through the closet to the bathroom and did his business. He washed his hands and left the bathroom. He walked out of the closet and walked out of the bedroom.

He saw about three more rooms upstairs than the stairs, with a few decorations in the hallway, and some pictures on the wall. They were modern pop art pictures, which seems very Kelly. He walked down the stairs and saw the living room, which he caught a glimpse of last night. He took a deep breath, the air smelt like fresh cotton but with a hint of fruit. And for someone who has a weed tattoo on his knee, it sure doesn't smell like it.

Jaden sat down on the couch and grabbed the remote that was placed on the coffee table. He turned the tv on found a channel that seemed somewhat interesting. He quickly zoned out and then eventually dazed off.

HE HEARD SLIGHT STIRRING IN THE BACK. As he rustled awake, he was met with big brown eyes. He blinked and his vision cleared, it was a young-looking girl, with a puff on her head and gorgeous brown eyes. "Hi!!" She smiled. Her smile was white and bright, and a little crooked; it was adorable.

"Hey?" He groaned. She sat there and stared at him intently. He felt a little strange about this, but he cut her some slack; she is a kid anyways. 

"Cassie! Let him rest!" He heard Colson say.

She quickly got off, "sorry sorry," she hurried.

Jaden chuckled, "no it's fine, I have a younger sister; I know the feeling." She gave him and weak smile and sat down on the cushion next to him. It was a bit of awkward tension before she did something. 

"I'm Casie!" She stuck out her hand. She has to be Colson's daughter, she has his energy.

"Jaden."

Colson walked in and saw the two of them chatting, he leaned on the door frame and watched as Jaden spoke to her. He was gentle with his words, his movements, and his tone. He loved seeing his daughter talk, she was truly his favorite person in the world. He saw how happy and smiley she is with him. He walked over to the back of the couch and placed his hand on Jaden's shoulder.

"Hey darlings," he said. Casie looked up at her dad and smiled. Jaden turned his head around and smiled too.

"Hey," he mumbled softly.

"Hi dad," Casie spoke. Colson leaned over and kissed her head and she giggled. He then stood behind Jaden and kissed his forehead.

"Hey Case, how about you go find something for breakfast while I talk with Jae?" He asked.

She nodded, "sure thing." She got up and left and Colson hopped over the couch and sat next to Jaden. Jaden scored closer to Colson and he wrapped an arm around his waist.

"So, was she nice to you?" He asked.

"Yes she's an angel," he smiled.

Colson smiled a big toothy, child-like smile. "That's great-- amazing actually." Jaden laughed a bit and intertwined his fingers with Colson's. He looked down at their hands and then he looked back up into his eyes. Colson met his gaze, they both looked into each other's blue eyes. Colson leaned in slowly and so did Jaden. Their lips met and sparks went off. Jaden couldn't recall if they had a first kiss, but if they had, then it was the best first kiss he's ever had. 

Jaden threw himself onto Colson's lap and put his arms around his neck. Slightly tugging on his hair, Jaden groaned and Colson slipped his tongue in. Their make-out session was cut short by Casie coming back in. "Uhm," she cleared her throat. Colson and Jaden quickly stopped and Jaden got off. 

"Hey pumpkin," Colson rubbed the back of his neck. She laughed and gave a devilish grin.

"Heyyyyy dadddddd, can we order food? There's nothing to eat, which reminds me, we need to go food shopping," she said. 

Colson sighed and nodded, "Alright, we can go later. Do you have any place you want to order from?" He pulled out his phone. Jaden sat there and watched them interact, it was cute really. Jaden loved seeing Colson being a parent. It was adorable and hot. 

"No not really, Jaden can pick if he wants," she said. 

Jaden smiled sheepishly, "I'm fine with whatever." 

Colson sighed, "I should stop using you people's questions," he laughed and opened postmates. He scrolled through till he found a place. He let them pick out what they wanted first and then he got his food. He paid and then Casie ran off to her bathroom to shower.

"It's cute seeing you be a father," Jaden said. Colson blushed. Jaden was shocked, he never knew Colson was the type to blush. "Why are you blushing?" He asked. 

"Because... My daughter is my pride and joy, I love her more than anything. And I want to be the best for her, so when people compliment me on my parenting, I blush," he explained. 

Jaden nodded and smiled, "well from what I can see you are a great father, Kells." He grabbed his hand and kissed it. They talked calmly till the food got there. Casie need help with doing her hair so she had Colson help her with detangling her hair. Jaden watched the two of them while he ate. 

Even when he was talking with Casie, he could really tell she was Colson's daughter.  

Like father, like daughter.

anyways idk when updates will come bc school is getting busy again and i think I'm depressed again. 

what has been your favorite chapter so far?? and why?? 

mine has to be ten and a half because it is one of my most detailed chapters. and then my other fav chapter is one that hasn't been published yet or even written but ik it will be my fav.
