~Authors Note: Hey, so this is my first time writing a fanfic so bare with me. I'm infatuated, maybe a little obsessed with FNAF and more so Security Breach so... without further Ado, Lets gooooo~
~For the sake of this story, Y/n is of female body but prefers to go by non-binary terms 'they'~
I wasn't sure why I expected my parents to be sympathetic towards me after I dropped out of college. I was stressed, and although I loved creating things, and had a talent for it; I couldn't keep up with all the assignments I was getting.
My parents wouldn't let me apply to a college solely for an arts degree, I had to get something else in the process: a medical degree, or science degree or even culinary degree...but not just art, so I decided to look into computer science. That wasn't my smartest decision.
"Art doesn't pay well enough to keep yourself out of the dumps." They would tell me over and over until I made up my mind to listen to them.
Now, I couldn't get any help from them and found myself in front of the pizzaplex that was an hour away from my parents house. I saw the listing by chance when I passed a newspaper stand on my way to grab groceries for my parents. No one used newspapers anymore, so I had assumed that everything written on it would have been old, but I had a... let's say a 'gut feeling' that led me to pick one up and read it.
Hiring now full-time employees- no experience necessary, will train. Come in and ask for John at the Pizzaplex located...
And that brings us here.. standing in front of the pizzaplex during business hours.
-3rd person pov-A security guard stood in position at the front entrance, making sure that everyone that entered had a wristband showing that they paid to get in. Y/N got in line and waited their turn, and once they had reached the security guard and gotten a throughout stare down from them, the security guard pointed in the direction of where the interview would take place.
When Y/N walked inside, the guard lifted his arm, and spoke into a watch on his wrist, letting John know that someone was coming inside for an interview. He described the person by the color of their clothes and the color of their hair.
Without that description, Y/N would have vanished in the sea of parents and kids.
Being an Artist at heart, Y/N had bright blue hair and was wearing white cargo pants with high tops, and a light blue shirt that complimented their hair. They had short hair, grown out of a pixie and in need of a trim.
Y/N walked with purpose in the direction that the security guard gave them, but couldn't help but look in awe at their surroundings. There were many bright neon colors and stores galore as far as they could see. Luckily, there were turnstiles that needed specific passes to go into- and effectively kept Y/N on the correct path.
After five minutes of walking around and getting accustomed to the brightness, loudness and flashy décor, Y/N stepped into an area that seemed to be less crowded. A kid decided that would be a good moment to run past Y/N yelling "Rockstar Row, Here I come!" with a distressed teen on their tail.
Y/N couldn't help the chuckle that escaped them, as they shook their head and walked down the corridor. There were glass panels separated the public from what seemed to be some rooms. Looking above the rooms were neon pictures of what Y/N recognized as the animatronics that made the Pizzaplex popular.
Their curiosity peeked when they looked inside at one of the rooms, and saw multiple plushies of Freddy spread around the floor, with what looked like a shirt and posters on top.
'It looks like someone was organizing' they thought outloud, when a voice came out of nowhere behind them.
"Oh yes, I have yet to finish organizing. Those are new gifts and I didn't know where to put them, would you like to choose where... oh. My apologies, you looked like a child from behind."
Y/N jumped slightly from the surprise before turning around and putting their hand to their chest. They didn't say anything, just stared up at the animatronic that made an appearance, and had just slightly insulted her.
They laughed and ran their hand around the back of their head nervously.
"I uh... it's okay, I know, I must look teeny to someone of your height.."
The animatronic seemed to chuckle and also rub the back of their neck, which was a very human-like move for a robot to be doing.
"Would you uh, I seem to have lost my path, I'm trying to um, find 'John' for an inter..."
"Oh of course. This is perfect, we were notified to keep an eye out for someone with bright hair like yours to direct to him, I can take you."
There was a moment of silence while Freddy seemed to zone out for a second and then look at Y/N offering his hand.
Y/N grinned at him and placed their hand in his. Freddy nodded and pulled on Y/N's hand, puling them into a hug that somehow turned into Y/N being carried bridal style.
"Oh my gods, please put me down, I can walk" Y/N said, surprised and a little concerned. A small part of them did enjoy being picked up so easily though.
"This way I will not lose you in the crowd."
"Okay fine.. " they said, relaxing for the few minutes it took to reach an office that read "John".
Freddy then stopped and put Y/N down, and bent over to whisper "Good luck getting the job. See you soon, okay?"
Y/N grinned and nodded, waving to Freddy. 'He's cool. Kinda wonder if the other ones are that nice though' they thought.
And with that goodbye, they knocked on the door, and a voice called out "Come in, I've been waiting for you".
Y/N wasn't sure if that sounded ominous or if they were just nervous. Interviews always put them on edge.
