The interview

The office inside was.. not what Y/N had expected. Out of the 4 walls, one of them was covered in a large collage of t-shirts and posters portraying the four main animatronics: Freddy, Monty, Chica, and Roxy. Another wall looked like it had a mural painted on it, again, with the animatronics, except that one had multiple signatures painted across it. The last two walls consisted of what you would normally see in a managers office- paperwork, a printed schedule, employee contact sheet, and all that good stuff.

The managers desk on the other hand looked wild.

Plushies hung off the sides, had stickers on top of it and looked like it was used more as a merchandise stand than a desk. It was a rather large desk too, and upon closer inspection, Y/n could see that there was space behind the merch that was empty- possibly to be able to do actual paperwork on. A computer sat at the back of the room facing the door, and on a large mafia style (tall back, and wide) chair, sat a man, presumably John from the paper.

Y/N wanted to propose some ideas to make the artwork if you could call it that, seem more professional in the office, but they held their tongue and took a breath before walking up to the desk. The chairs back was facing her, and as if they were in a movie, the man in the chair turned around, very very slowly to expose a man that looked to be in his 30s maybe? Black hair, no pepper and salt mix in their beard, slight worry lines on their forehead and bright hazel colored eyes. They were letting off an aura that was making y/n shift their feet as the nerves started to make an appearance.

"uhm, Hi, Im here for an interview I saw an add on a newspaper and wanted to apply?"

Y/n slapped themselves mentally for sounding like a blubbering idiot.

' I should have just gotten to the point, now I look like I dont know what Im doing.'

The man behind the desk stood up and crossed his arms over his chest and stared at Y/N, like stared her down, without even blinking. Y/N started getting ready to back away without breaking contact, they didnt like how small it was making them feel.

Y/N was about to speak again when the man broke down in laughter, hitting the desk and then pretending to wipe a tear from their eye.

"ha.. aw you should have seen the look on your face, that was great." He said, walking around the desk and standing behind a chair, turning it to face Y/N.

"Come take a seat, I know why youre here. Ive been watching your demeanor from the moment you stepped inside the pizzaplex. I was notified by security as well as Freddy of your whereabouts and purpose for being here."

Now it had been Y/Ns turn to stare at the man without blinking.

'What.. the hell kind of greeting is that?!' they thought, and silently took a seat.

"Huh.. okay so then, can I have an interview?"

"Of course, of course. I just need you to fill out availability, pick out the sizes and pick a section to work in from the ones we have openings in.. Ooh, actually, I have the perfect place for someone like you, and it would be like two balls in one hole."  John said, muttering the last part of the sentence a little softer.

"Wait, wait, but what about an actual interview?"  Y/N asked, surprised that they were doing into the smaller details without a proper talk to get to know what kind of person they were, and if they would be qualified to do the job.

John smiled and walked back to the desk, pulling out a few pieces of paper with blank areas to put down the information he asked for.

"I already did one. I saw how you walked and admired the Plex, and how curious and kind you seemed to be. You are aware of your surroundings and can follow directions- mostly, but thats not something Im too worried about. Everything I could get out of a tedious interview with classic questions, I can simply find the truth with how you hold yourself and how you act in a new environment."
