~The Drops and me~

Kids will be kids

What was up with Sunny? Throughout the last hour that you had free before your scheduled shift, he had been awfully touchy... He would lean close to you when you spoke, bending down to have his face near yours but always smiling and attentive. There was an instant when he asked if he could pick you up to demonstrate how he would fly if he could, using you as the puppet- one of the kids had asked the question while he was playing with them. Of course you refused politely and pointed out the wire that they had and you knew they could use whenever. As fun as it looked to be picked up and flown around like a plane, you had your reservations and would prefer to not have a panic attack in front of that group of kids.

Once 5:30 came around, you split yourself away from the group of kids gathering around for another round of nap time. Some more kids had shown up solely for the naptime, getting dropped off my parents that were there only for the day. You had assumed that it would be like that all the time, but it turned out that a lot of the human workers for the Megaplex would bring their kids into the daycare so that they could work without worrying about babysitters or paying for another daycare. Employees got to use it for free, a nice perk that any parent would be hyped to take advantage of.

Sunny of course asked where you were headed when you tried to sneak away.

"Im gonna get ready for my shift. I have the uniform in my bag, plus I gotta wait for John. Dont worry, I wont be leaving again for now."

Sunny nodded and plastered a smile on his face, but you could see that it didnt reach his eyes. He seemed slightly upset that you were leaving his side but there was nothing more that he could do.

"Alrighty" he said, and turned back to the kids that had begun climbing on him, still somehow full of energy.

With that, you went back to the security desk and grabbed the bag John gave you, and made your way to the bathrooms within the daycare. They all seemed to have a small toilet made for the kids, so if you needed to use the toilet, you would have to exit the daycare and find a regular sized one. Thankfully though, you just needed to get changed.

You grabbed one of the two sets of uniforms from the bag. One was a similar version to the outfit that Sunny wore, but with flowy pants rather than baggy like sun had, the shirt also flowly with ruffles attached to it and a sunray headband.

The other was what you presumed Moons outfit would look like- dark blue and white with stars and even a long nightcap that would reach down to the middle of your back. You were excited to wear that, it would fit like a beanie and would also look like a tail...not that you were into that but it was a fun idea.

You decided to wear Sunnys outfit, wanting to use the headband first and feeling like Sunny would appreciate you wearing his colors for the first day. It was only fair, that since he was the one that she met first, his outfit be used first.

You put on the outfit, and giggled when you looked at yourself in the mirror, turning around and admiring the craftsmanship at different angles. You noticed that John had been throughout and even gave you some wristbands that were identical to Sunnys, bell and everything, just shrunk down to fit you. It felt a little silly, but you like how the pants were snug around your thighs and loose at the bottom.

When you were done, you twirled once more, making sure that you looked immaculate and put together.

"Woah"

You turned to the door to see a little girl standing there holding the door open, with her mouth open. She put her hands to her cheeks and jumped up and down, making a squeaking sound that was loud enough to make you cover your ears.

"You look like Sunny!! But much much prettier, like Sunnys princess!!" she cried out, in a very high pitched voice.

"Yeah, I... thank you! But please, theres no need to be so excited and loud.. someone will think theres trouble in here. Did you need to use the potty?"
