~The Drops and me~

Pre-1st day

It took no time for Sundrop to warm up to you, especially since he felt the need to stay with you until you felt good enough to stand on your own without hissing or groaning in pain.

Sundrop looked confused when you mentioned being there to work with them, they hadnt received any notification about it, nor did anyone come to tell them anything. It was all new news to them.

Sunny could feel Moon in the back of his mind, groaning up a storm and practically hissing at Y/N.

We dont need another body to just get in the way, you and I both already do our job well enough. Its like they didnt learn their lesson with the last handler they decided to throw in here.

Sundrop kept looking like he was listening to something far away whenever you werent talking or looking at him. You wondered what was going on in his head, maybe robots could have adhd or something too, so he was spacing out?

"We werent aware that there was going to be someone coming in to work with us."

You tilted your head,  a tad confused- you thought John would have at least told them, seeing as how they were going to be your co-workers

"Huh... I mean, I did just get hired yesterday didnt even really have a proper interview, and Im super super early too.."

You rambled on, feeling bad about just dropping in on them without prior notice.

Sundrop could see your mood change, and he sprung up and clapped his hands, his smile beaming at you.

"well, no matter, that just means we have a new friend!! And I love love love making new friends. And.. well you already know, I am Sundrop, or Sun or.. whatever you want to call me. It is great to meet you! We are going to have so much fun together! The kids will love you too Im sure, you seem really nice and really pretty and stunning erm- I mean, the kids will like you too"

Sundrop switched up so quickly but it helped your own mood, with how energetic he sounded. You let that energy pass to you too and mirrored his smile, extending a thumbs up to him while pushing yourself to stand again, now that your knee was thoroughly cool and numb from the ice pack.

You didnt miss the compliments that he had given you, and you were sure that he wouldnt be able to miss the slight blush on your cheeks.

"Yeah! Im looking forward to working here, you seem like a lot of fun too. I just need to find my bag first".
You said, walking slowly towards the ballpit where you had last seen your bag.

"Oh dont worry! I got it! You cant go in there right now while still having a boo boo. Wait there!"
Sunny called out and before you had a chance to call out to him and say it was alright, he had jumped and somehow made it into the ballpit without having to touch the ground again.

Wow he has seriously strong leg power.. must be nice.

While Sunny was swimming and looking for your duffel bag, you made your way towards the front of the daycare, where the doors sat and where you found the security desk to be. It was taking Sundrop a while to resurface, so you took a seat on the desk chair and looked around. There was a computer, and a yellow folder with your name on it. When you opened it, you found a stack of papers stapled together reading "Daycare Attendant Manual 20XX- Maintenance"

'What? Maintenance? Oh my gods John, what in all did you think I looked like I knew?! I knew I should have just asked for an interview'

"TA DA!"

You were snapped out of your thoughts when sunny dropped in front of you, appearing out of nowhere and spooking you, getting a jump out of you.

"You...oh.. jeeze, Sunny, warn me next time please, I get anxious quick"
You laughed nervously and looked up at him holding your bag and also the bag that John had given you. You went up to him and took them both from him, placing them on the desk.
