Wanda and Nat were out shopping and you were being babysat by then Avengers. Wanda and Nat did ask if you wanted to come but you were tired and not in the mood to go out that day so they let you stay with the others. A bunch of superheroes against one little, what could possibly go wrong?
Well the day started off pretty great, you decided you should probably be on your best behaviour because Wanda and Nat didn't like you misbehaving or being rude to others. Of course they got mad when you shouted at them, though they never really showed it to you, if you were disrespectful to the others they would be mad and disappointed, the worst possible combination. And you weren't going to disappoint them today because if you would they weren't going to let you hang out with them anymore.
But this time it wasn't you who was causing trouble. Steve had just put you down for a nap thirty minutes ago, not that you were sleeping, and the guys were doing stupid challenges to see who was the best. They did smartness levels tests, strength tests, dares, never have I ever. Just the usual activities until Tony asked who Steve thought the next captain America should be. He obviously said it would be between Bucky or Sam to which Tony laughed and said that Sam probably couldn't even hold the shield let alone catch it.
"I would be better at than terminator over here." Sam gestured to Bucky who gave him a dirty look. "I told you to stop calling me that." Tony stood up taking Steve's shield. "I guess there's only one way to find out." He said spinning the shield. "No you will break some thing." Steve said trying to get the shield back. "Everything in here is replaceable I'll pay for it. Metal arm catch." Tony threw the shield across to Bucky who caught it with ease. " alright Bucky you can throw it to Sam." Bucky threw the shield and Sam ran backwards to catch it not seeing you stood behind him. He pulled his arm back to pull the shield to his chest, his elbow hitting you in the face.
As soon as you felt the pain against your face the tears built in your eyes. You clutched your nose soon feeling drops hitting your hands, you pulled away soon seeing all the blood covering your palm. Tony and Steve rushed over pushing Sam and Bucky out of the way. "You okay kid?" Tony asked sounding panicked you shook your head wailing. "I wan my mommies." Steve pulled out his phone.
"Nat, Sam and Bucky were being stupid and y/n got hurt." Steve could hear Nat and Wanda talking. "Put y/n on the phone." Steve held the phone in front of you as Tony came back with tissues. "Mama mommy." You cried into the phone. "We're coming baby. What hurts?" You swallowed another sob before answering. "Nose. mama it's too red it's scawy." You heard Nat mumble something. "Alright baby we're on our way home we'll see you in a few minutes." Steve took the phone back and Nat started shouting down the phone at him.
You soon heard the door open and a familiar sound. "Y/n? Baby!" Wanda called everyone took a step back so you could see her. "Alright everyone who's not me or Wanda get the hell away from my baby." Nat announced walking towards you everyone scarpered. "Mama! Mommy!" You said excitedly Nat smiled and picked you up. Wanda soon joined her at your side rubbing circles on your back. "Did you get an owie love?" You gave her a sad nod. While you were facing the other way Wanda used her powers to send Bucky and Sam flying. Nat gave a warning glare to the others too.
"We're sorry little one but you were so brave we are so proud of you." Nat said giving you a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Let's get you cleaned up." Wanda suggested and you nodded not liking all of the "red". Nat carried you to the sink and Wanda got a damp cloth to clean your face. She hummed a sokovian song you loved as she did it and Nat held your hand making you feel less scared. "There you go there's that super cute face, although you still look cute with red on your face. You always look cute." You smiled at all the compliments before leaning towards Wanda to kiss her forehead. "Thank you baby. You ready to wash your hands?" Wanda held your hands under the sink squirting soap on them, she used lots of soap making you giggle.
You now hand a handful of bubbles that you decided to wipe on her chin giving her a beard. "You cheeky little monster." Wanda said tickling you. "I no monster I baby." You said pointing to yourself. "That's right, who's baby are you though?" Wanda asked with a look of fake confusion. "Mama and mommy." You said pointing to them both. "That's right you are our baby. But if you're not the monster and I'm not the monster, who is?" You and Wanda looked at each other before looking at Nat who was smirking.
"No!" You squealed, Wanda picked you up off the counter. Nat started chasing you with her arms out. Wanda ran and flopped on the sofa. "Tickle monster." Nat started tickling you as you squirmed in Wanda's arms. Wanda and Nat's heart melted at your giggles. "It's okay y/n I will protect you from the tickle monster." Wanda used her powers to pretend to hit Nat who played the part and fell to the floor dramatically. "Yay we won." You cheered Nat got up again loving how happy you were. "Tickle monster is gone now but there's a new monster around." Nat started before laying on the couch next to you. "the cuddle monster." Nat pulled you and Wanda in close. "We love you y/n, we will always protect you from the real monsters. You're safe here baby." You smiled humming against her chest. "love Mommy love mama." And with those four words you fell asleep in their arms.
Once she knew you were asleep Nat went to find Sam and Bucky. "What actually happened?" Nat asked firmly with her arms crossed. "It was Sam's stupid fault he caught the sheild and elbowed them in the face." Nat looked at Sam who was pointing at Bucky. "you threw it too high and way to fast." Nat slapped them both across the face. Before pinning them against the wall. "You play another game of frisbee near my baby again or hurt them in any way I will personally rip you to shreds. Stay away from y/n"
She sighed before going back to cuddle y/n and Wanda.
