"What's my biggest secret?" Naruto reiterated with a faint chuckle, suppressing his urge to bail from this uncomfortable environment. The blond cooly pressed his back against the hardbound of his chair and eyed me with an alluring gaze. I dropped my hands to my knees and relaxed against my seat. It felt odd being stuck in a room with Naruto, although we've been in such situations before, this one in particular seemed rather strange. When I took a glance at our surroundings prior to our conversation, I noticed how dull and dingy the room was.
This classroom seemed normal, like any other, but there was something about this specific hour that made it rather chilling. Although nothing much has changed, our environment was still unlightened due to the somber skies out front. An instantaneous strike of lightning shocked the seas which caused my head to turn as it illuminated Naruto's features. The growing thunder from the waves and vigorous winds impending from the horizon were overheard. I could've sworn that the sounds coming from outside seemed familiar, as startling as the music of horror movies.
"How'd you know I had one?" He broke the silence, meeting my gaze.
As a matter of fact, I didn't. It was easy to assume that any individual must've had something confidential they carried. How could anyone live so freely without the troubles of a burdening secret digging up their own grave? It's in our nature to lie and keep things to ourselves, the problem is the way we rationalize the true definition of a secret. It can vary between; disagreements, agreements, feelings, thoughts, actions, and more.
"Doesn't everyone?" I shrugged as he slumped forward and pressed his elbows against his knees. The uncertainty that modified his physical being was enough to know he analyzed me thoroughly and had already acknowledged my hypothetical thinking.
"Do you?"
I shivered at his question while he looked towards me with a piercing gaze. I did have a secret, I was making it obvious since the very first day I stepped foot onto this boat. He was constantly ignoring my sexuality even when it was obvious.
He nonchalantly arched his left eyebrow and held a blatant look of smugness across his peachy features. I knew the blond would've eventually wanted a response if I broached this type of subject, therefore, I prepared myself for this ordeal. I've never wished to find myself stuck in a situation where I'd have to tell the blond about my secret, it was something I'd planned for him to uncover on his own. I've always wanted Naruto to decode my phlegmatic state of mind, that is, either ripping out my thoughts or tearing off my clothes.
"Don't start changing the subject," I chuckled.
He scoffed and hurriedly rubbed his eyes, "wasn't my intention," he took a breath and paused, "what makes you think I'd tell you anyway?" He briefly responded.
"Naruto, quit questioning me, I just needed an excuse to talk to you," I spoke assertively, watching as the blond stiffened in response. The corners of my lips tugged into a smirk as a soft hue of red faded his dainty cheeks. "I don't care about your secrets," I scoffed.
His eyes widened as he registered my words, working his left hand towards his leg to stroke his thigh in uncertainty. I raised my left eyebrow as I watched him fiddle with his limbs in distress. He blinked once and came to an abrupt halt, narrowing his eyes as he shot me an icy glare.
"So...you don't wanna know?" He probed. I bit the insides of my cheeks and cracked my knuckles in thought. I didn't want to show the blond how interested I was in learning about him and his silly secrets, I knew I had to stay subtle and keep my head high.
"Meh," I voiced calmly, averting my eyes, "I doubt it's a big deal-"
"I asked Sakura to peg me," he uttered quickly.
