"You look ravishing," I turned his way, "blue is your color."

"Really?" I cocked my head before the sibling nodded in a hurry, "well, thank you."

"You're welcome," he mumbled under his breath as I subconsciously crossed my left leg over my right. I lifted my chin and studied the dark atmosphere, catching sight of two individuals who nervously stood on stage. I guess I was looking forward to what Naruto had to offer. Although I knew he was an average companion for this competition, it was a challenge to lead Naruto the time we waltzed with our peers. Although I detested the idea of him dancing with a woman, looking away from him was unfeasible, I watched him like a hawk. Nonetheless, I've been sitting with my back glued to the chair for longer than ten minutes, eyeing the crowded theater as I sat between the two siblings who kept glaring at one another.

I never noticed how competitive they were until now. Hinata kept her glossy lips pursed as her long flimsy hair covered her soft shoulders. The woman's eyebrows were knitted in fury as she held her head high, looking towards Neji the same way he looked at Shino when he refused to let me shower at his place. Fists rolled as her jaw was clenched, I noticed how Kiba suddenly wrapped his palm over hers. He must have seen her early signs of frustration and thought holding her hand might've been a good way to ease some stress. But, instead, her eyes widened from the sudden show of affection while her chubby cheeks grew a crimson red. Neji mocked the pitiful look on her face as she angrily pressed her teeth to her bottom lip.

"I promise I won't let you down," Kiba smiled.

She mustered up the courage to turn towards the brunette and flung her hand back toward her chest, immediately pushing his head the opposite way as she kicked her feet and mumbled a bunch of nonsense. "Don't grab me like that; you're stressing me out, and my brother is right there- stop it!" She squealed in embarrassment while hiding her flushed features from Kiba's view.

I felt the corners of my mouth twitch unfamiliarly as I watched the scene unfold from my left. Hinata grew even more embarrassed when Kiba began apologizing for touching her without permission. Neji had already faced the front with a proud grin, feeling a sense of joy from how he humiliated his younger sister. The entire thing piqued my interest, Hinata always seemed like a fragile woman, but her behavior was contrary when it regarded her brother. With Kiba, though, she treats him differently than the rest of her peers. I couldn't wrap my head around why, but they seemed compatible. There was something about Kiba's craziness that complied well with Hinata's shyness. Opposites attract, I guess?

Naruto and I were opposites. Those are my expectations when it comes to a soulmate or a lover. I wouldn't want to be with someone who resembles my character; Neji would be a perfect example of that. I'd rather be friends with people I share common interests with while I learn something new about my lover every day. Naruto's spirit is so laughable and bizarre it stands out as much as the sun does on a sultriness day. I, on the other hand, am stoic and reasonable. I observe people like the moon does, nothing but a gloomy eyeball in the sky that watches over you by night. I'm making myself sound like a fucking creep, but whatever, that will never change my feelings for the blond.

We all focused on the stage once the theater lights went out. A single light bulb had been beaming in the direction of both performers. The regular bulb seemed yellow-toned with a tint of red, turning the mood into something more ardent and tender. I crossed my arms and sunk further into my seat as I watched Naruto inhale a deep breath, looking rather stressed while Sakura fiddled with her dress. I cringed when a loud tempo shocked my ears. The students swiftly caught up to one another and smoothly mingled in with the music. I noticed how terribly the blond shook as he unsteadily held onto her waist. I narrowed my vision while he gripped her dress for a supposed sense of comfort. I wondered what caused this sudden stress. It took him a few seconds before he finally shrugged it off. I felt more relaxed when his confidence began to peak.
