Karva Chauth festival wen a wife fasts for her husband's well being n long life. D women eats d food before sunrise. After dat, she does not eats n drinks anything 4m sunrise till moonrise. D women dresses up as brides n do some kind of poojas in mandir or their home mandir. An elderly lady narrates a story of karva chauth. After moonrise, they 1st see d moon thru a sieve. Then they see their husband's face thru dat sieve. Then d husband breaks her fast by making take 1st morsel of food n 1st sip of water.

Arjun n Shriya got up in d morning before sunrise Shriya was the 1st who went to bath. As Shriya was bathing, Arjun was sitting on d bed n thinking abt Shriya doing her 1st Karva Chauth 2day for him. They don't believe in many traditions n customs. Still, Shriya told him yesterday dat even if they don't believe in Karva Chauth its just a matter of a day in a year n she should do it to give everyone company. 

Arjun can't digest d fact dat he will eat while his wife can't eat or drink anything before seeing d moon. She can't even drink water. Why should only a wife keep karva chauth? Doesn't a husband want his wife's well being n long life?

"Arjun, stop looking  at me n go for bathing," said Shriya.

"If I don't look at you then who will I look?" asked Arjun with a wide smile.

Shriya dressed up in a red top n jeans. She was among d modern women who normally dressed in modern clothes n wore Indian clothes very less n for occasions. Her in-laws don't have problems with that as they too r broad-minded. Arjun came out of d bathroom. He dressed in a black shirt n jeans.

"Shriya, you don't need to do karva chauth. U know we don't believe in it," said Arjun.

"Arjun, I told u its just a matter of a day in a year n I am doing it to just give everyone a company," said Shriya.

"I can't see u widout food n water till moonrise. If u want to keep karva chauth then I too vl keep it. Why only u vl fast for me? Don't I want your well-being n long life? Husbands n wives are supposed to be equal. I love you a lot. So, I vl fast wid u," said Arjun.

Shriya knew that he loves her a lot but she cud not believe what he said. He'll fast along wid her. Its so sweet of him. He truly loves her. Not all husbands fast wid their wives.

"Really Arjun?" asked Shriya with a smile, "I can't believe that u will fast with me."

"Yaa Shriya, I am not among those husbands who will eat to his heart's content while his wife will starve," replied Arjun with a smile.

Shriya hugged him happily. He hugged her back.

"Arjun, now I have to go n eat food cause after sunrise I can't have anything before seeing d moon," said Shriya.

"I am also coming with you," said Arjun.

They went to d hall where other family members along wid some friends n relatives were sitting. Shriya's family had also come.

"Good morning Arjun n Shriya," said Suwarna wid a smile.

"Good morning mom," said Arjun n Shriya wid a smile.
