"How dare you leak the strategies of OUR company you jerk?!" It was probably the 4th slap Jaeyun silently took, because he was busy glaring at the man standing behind Mrs. Park, looking around at everything except his eyes.
"Do you know Lee's? What's your relationship with that old CEO of theirs?! You better tell us Jake or we'll make it hard for you." Mrs. Park said as he slapped him for one final time.
His face was red and swollen, everybody could see that, but his eyes, those had nothing but anger.
Did Sunghoon blame it on me? Does he hate me that much? He can'teven look at my eyes! PARK SUNGHOON I HATE YOU!! It was natural for Jake to think this way because he was suffering from the harsh treatment and set ups from Sunghoon for months.
Jake finally sighed.
"YOU DUMBASS WHY AREN'T YOU LOOKING IN MY EYES! YOU MUST BE REALLY HAPPY RIGHT NOW, RIGHT?!! YOU HAVE BEEN WANTING TO RESIGN FROM MONTHS AND NOW I'LL FINALLY BE FIRED FROM THE COMPANY. YOU MUST BE REALLY HAPPY WATCHING ME SUFFERING HERE LIKE THIS!! PARK SUNGHOON, YOU'RE SUCH A LOSER TO BLAME IT ALL ON ME, EVEN YOU KNOW THAT IT ISN'T MY DOING!!!"
Mrs. Park widened her eyes. She knew that both the boys actually have feelings for each other, but she didn't know that Sunghoon would actually follow whatever she said.
Sunghoon finally looked at Jake. He looked at his teary eyes, his red cheeks, he wanted to just disappear from the world, like he never even existed. Everything Sunghoon was doing was for Jake's safety, but eventually here Jake is, getting beaten by his own mom, even after trying so hard to be apart from him, the boy he loved, was in pain. And the pain doubled, because of him.
"Oh, I almost forgot about your puppy love. Listen to me boy, you are nothing in front of my power. Sunghoon is so dumb to still like you. He is so dumb to make you resign because I said him to do so. He is so dumb to believe me that if he will stay away from you, I will make sure that you'll be safe. He is so dumb to hurt you, because of your safety." Mrs. Park said as she took a seat and had some water.
Meanwhile Jake's eyes widened. Now he was getting everything. Sunghoon..... he still liked him. His eyes got teary. Sunghoon hurt him and that was for sure, but all he wanted was Jake's safety. Jake, he won't say that he forgave everything Sunghoon did, but his heart really melted, because he actually imagined himself as Sunghoon.
"Not now, mom. Now, I'm not going to listen to anything you say. I won't let you hurt Jake now. It's not his fault, just leave him alone." Sunghoon said as he walked towards Jaeyun who's face was now totally red, with tears dropping from his eyes.
He cupped the older's cheeks, "I'm sorry Jakey, I was never my main intention to hurt you, and I have not changed, I'm the same Sunghoon. And now, I'll make sure that you are safe-"
"That won't be needed. I'm resigning tomorrow." Jake said as he ran out of the house, the guards were going to follow him but Mrs. Park just stopped them and smirked.
"Both of you are such dumbasses. Tsk. Sunghoon, you love such a weak guy. He is ready to resign just because of this small thing? Anyways, he is going so after that I don't know but handle this issue, if our strategies reached to the Lee Corporation, we are done." Mrs. Park said as she went upstairs.
Sunghoon knew why Jake resigned. It wasn't because of the leaking matter, but it was because Jake started doubting himself if he is a guy who should be trusted or not. He stood there as he now decided that he's not going to listen to his mother's foolish commands.
"Jakey stop I'm really sorry. Please let me expl-" Sunghoon said as he blocked Jake's way for the nth time in a single day.
"No, we have nothing to talk about. It wasn't funny Sunghoon." Jake said as he tried to go to the class.
Sunghoon sighed as he held the older's wrist and dragged him to the rooftop.
"Leave me Sunghoon, what are you doing?! First you would ask me to pretend to be your boyfriend because a girl is not leaving you alone, but in reality there was no one pursuing you!"
"Jake Ididn't mean to-"
"Tell me Sunghoon, why did you lie to me? This lie won't affect you much, but it would affect me."
"WILL YOU LET ME SPEAK? This means so much to me too! Don't you get it? I have feelings for you! I didn't like it when I saw you hanging out with Hueningkai that day. I just wanted some of your attention Jakey. I know I was wrong, but trust me you are someone really special to me." Sunghoon said as he took a deep breath.
"Hoonie-" Jake said as he blinked and stared directly in the younger's eyes, that made him feel like his stomach is twisting and turning.
"May I come in, Mr. Park?" Jake said as he peeked through the door.
"Call me Sunghoon, Jakey." He said as he got up off his desk and went towards the shorter male.
"Let's not joke around, Mr. Park. Here." Jaeyun said as he handled an envelope to Sunghoon.
Sunghoon's eyes widened as he realised that Jake is really going. He didn't want that. He did so wrong with Jake from past few months and he definitely wasn't letting the love of his life go just like this.
Now Sunghoon realised that even if there's nothing in his life, he needs Jake. He can fight anyone as long as he had Jake by his side, now the only thing he had to do was to win his trust again, but...... he didn't know how. Jake was a man with high self respect and now he was actually hurt.
