WARNINGS AND APOLOGIES

HELLO everyone, I can't believe I have to do this, but I NEED to in order to make things a bit better.

Firstly, I'm a 30-year-old woman who writes content for +18 readers. This is something that is explicit in my bio for anyone to see, right? 

Secondly, my books are all marketed as MATURE, except a few, but even those who are not marketed as MATURE can have some content that is not appropriate for minors.

Thirdly, even with all this information, I still add a chapter at the beginning of my stories, warning for certain topics I might address in the books, because some things might even be too much for certain readers, despite their age.

With all of this being said, despite all these warnings, I know that I have MINORS reading my works. 

Personally, I have no problem with minors following me and reading my content because the warnings are there, and I believe that in the society we live in, access is free for everyone and people come to read my stuff knowing all the things above.

I was a minor once, and I read +18 content because it helped me a lot to figure myself out and to discover things we don't learn anywhere else! I won't say every +18 content is suited for minors, but as far as it pertains to me, I know that I try my best to give the best messages in my content.

But this is a platform that only allows +13 users for a reason, right? This is NOT a place for children! So when I get a follower that has in their bio that they're 10 years old (TEN!), I can't go on with my life pretending it's nothing.

I already reported the account, because this is NO PLACE for a CHILD to be. Even kids between 13-16 bother me sometimes, and I don't think I have encountered anyone with that age, but I'm no age police to scout everyone and people can lie, right?

I think the minimum age acceptable for teens to read my stuff is 16, below that I get bothered, but I can't do much.

So PLEASE, PLEASE, if you're under 16 don't follow me. I can't tell you not to read my stuff because you could do it anyway. You ignored the warnings, so why would you follow what I ask you to do? 

But despite that, BE CAREFUL with whom you interact, if you have in your bio your age, and you're a minor, YOU ARE A TARGET. People will lie to you and say they're minors too, but they might be adult predators. Even if they tell you the truth about their age, THEY MIGHT BE GROOMERS, so please be careful interacting with strangers and giving out your information.

I used to leave questions in this book, so I could get closer to my readers, but right now I regret it a lot because I asked too personal questions I shouldn't be asking anyone. So I'm really, REALLY, sorry about that, and I will delete all the questions as soon as I can.
