A few days had passed since the arrival of the Kim brothers and because of that, their parents invited the Park to a family dinner that weekend. So the four kids drove from Nam-gu to Yeonje-Gu, their hometown, in an awkward, less than one-hour trip between districts.

Somin felt relieved, even if slightly sad, for going back home after the big fight she had with Yoongi at the beginning of the week. Even though they had made up right away, she still felt a dark cloud above their heads. She, too, felt him more distant and cold, not on purpose. She guessed it was being difficult for him not to think about what he had discovered about her.

Every day was like a time bomb, waiting for the ticking to go off and explode. She felt tense and she too started to become more distant from him. It was painful, but she was still scared of what could happen once he figured everything out.

So, instead of waiting for Yoongi to leave work and come home with him like she used to, she started to leave work as soon as her time to exit arrived. For her peace of heart, Jin had been spending lots of time with her, distracting her from her worries. She really had missed him.

For Jimin, it was still weird to sit beside Taehyung. He wanted to get back to normal, at least get back to being friends, but he couldn't just erase from thin air all that happened between them. For his luck, Tae was being respectful and giving him time and space, like he had asked.

But now, heading back to their hometown where they had crafted the most beautiful memories, it was being difficult to just ignore all the overwhelming feelings that were coming back. Jimin knew he wouldn't be able to just act like they were both acquaintances but he had to stay strong, for Hobi.

Even though Hoseok told him he had no worries and that he trusted him with all his heart, Jimin still felt guilty to go on a literary trip to memory lane with his first lover. Even if only for a couple of days.

As soon as the four arrived at Yeonje-Gu, they were received by their respective parents. Both of their houses were side by side. The Kim's had moved from Daegu when Seokjin was 6 years and Taehyung had two, and since then the two families became inseparable. With kids with age so close to each other, it was inevitable for them not to become close.

The four children started to play together in each other's garden every day. It was mostly the two youngest running around as Somin watched, debilitated but with a big smile plastered in her face. Jin ended up choosing to sit beside Somin, talking with her, and playing games that wouldn't require physical effort.

Since the beginning, he was her most loyal companion and she could never forget that. He was her first and only friend for so long since she barely got time or strength to go to school. She could only thank him for making her childhood a bit more bearable.

It had been more than half a decade since the two families sat together at a dinner table and talked about everything, and doing that again was almost like some kind of festivity. The table at the Kim's was set full of the best of Korean culinary and with The Fantastic Four favorites.

As soon as they sat it was like they had done that less than a week ago. All the worries, awkwardness, and detachment were suddenly gone and they were laughing and talking about everything that was going on in their lives.

"Hm... I see everything is alright with you two." Mr. Park said, pointing to his son and Taehyung. Both boys looked briefly at each other and smiled softly, agreeing.

"So when do we expect a wedding?" Taehyung was the first to spit his food as Jimin choked and coughed, banging his chest.

"DAD!" The blond shouted as soon as he recovered from the mishap.

"It's not for lack of interest, but Jimin already has a boyfriend," Taehyung added, making the other widen his eyes and blush.

"Is that so?" Mr. Park asked, raising an eyebrow to his youngest.

"Somin has a boyfriend too!" Jimin pointed, trying to deviate his father's inquisitive eyes from him.

"JIMIN!" It was Somin's turn to shout and blush.

"I guess we are the last to know the news, nowadays. These kids don't tell us anything anymore." Their father mumbled exasperated, shaking his head.

"Don't be sad honey, they are grown-ups." Mrs. Park caressed her husband's hand, to soothe him. "But when do we get to meet these two men?" Asked with a smile.

A smile the older sibling knew. A smile that wouldn't waver until she got what she wanted. Which was to meet her sons-in-law.

"I-I..."

Somin was in a panic. The last thing she wanted was for Yoongi to meet her parents. Not because she didn't want to present the guy she liked to them, but because once she does, her secret is revealed.

"Let's take things slow, ajumma. You don't want to scare the boys away." Jin joked, making the Park's laugh. "Besides, I was thinking me and Tae could ease them with a pre-fam little gathering." Suggested.

"Oh?" Jimin was tense once again, as he was questioning himself what was Seokjin's intention.

"I think we could use the cabin for a weekend, to a friendly retreat." Told them his plans.

"I don't think..." Jimin tried to tell but was interrupted by his ex.

"I think it's a wonderful idea. The Park are like our siblings anyways. Nobody better than us Kim to test the boyfies and see if they are really worthy of our two plums." Said with an enlarged smile. Jimin gulped, full of worry that Taehyung would break his vow and try to win him back.

"I'm kidding. I really would just like to meet them and befriend the guys who are taking care and loving our precious Park." Assured, looking softly to Jimin.

"I don't know if it's a good idea," Somin whispered to Jin, remembering how things still were with Yoongi.

"It will be perfect for you to get closer again." Advised, squeezing Somin's hand in a reassuring way.

"Do you think?" Asked, still uneasy.

"I'm sure."
