As previously mentioned, Kronii is a member of a group called The Council. A group of individuals that keep the universe in check to prevent any major world breaking problems to happen. Fellow members are Tsukumo Sana, the speaker of space, Ceres Fauna, the keeper of nature or most commonly know as Mother Nature, Nanashi Mumei, the guardian of civilization and lastly Hakos Baelz, the chairperson.
Currently all of them were visiting Kronii to play some board games seeing that they had a day off. As they played a certain board game which involves buying real estate, they chatted about various topics varying from daily lives to in-game events. Suddenly, Kronii brought up the fact that she made a new friend, which piqued the interest of all of them.
"Once again Kronii, tamagotchi aren't real friends. They're just virtual pets." Baelz said with a chuckle.
"Hey that's not what I mean. I meant as in a real breathing and living human friend. Plus tamagotchi are real friends." Kronii responded while mumbling to herself with the last sentence.
To most people, bringing up the fact that you have a new friend isn't that big of a deal but in this case it was Ouro Kronii. It was uncharacteristic for her to befriend a human. Sure she had her human fans and senpai but they were a special case. If she formed any sort of relationship with a human, she would outlive them and suffer through the pain of having to lose them. She wouldn't be able to bear it so she never made friends with any humans.
Hence why the four of them were taken aback by the sudden announcement. Assuming the group misheard something, they asked Kronii if they heard it wrongly but she reassured them that they weren't mishearing anything. Silence fell upon the room for a while. The four of them looked at each other and nodded knowing that they had to find out more about this new "friend" of Kronii.
Baelz was the first to break the silence and ask "What's their name?"
"His name is (y/n) (y/l/n)." Kronii stated.
"How did you meet him?" Sana followed up with a question of her own.
"Well, it's a bit of a lengthy story, so you guys might want to get a snack before we start." Kronii stated as she adjusted herself to be more comfortable.
So for a couple of minutes, Kronii told the group about the story of how the two first met, their daily chats together and also about their recent meet up together. Kronii talked about the time she spent with (y/n) in a blissful tone. The others wore a shocked expression on their faces. To think that the narcissistic warden of time would go out of her way to help a human was baffling.
Mumei who couldn't hold it in anymore, spoke up "Wait so you're finally considering being friends with a human. I'm so proud of you!" rushing over to hug Kronii at the same time.
She blushed at the sudden embrace but quickly snapped back and said "Well yeah of course I would try to befriend humans. I mean being friends with a human is nothing to fuss about since I am perfect. But I promise you I will be fine."
"That's good to hear." The others felt happy for her but an uneasy feeling dwell within them. It was a natural feeling to be worried about someone when they talk about a person they've never met before and could possibly have underlying motives. But what could they do other than have faith in Kronii's words. That was until Mumei thought of an idea to ask Kronii to invite (y/n) over so that she could introduce (y/n) to the four of them. It was simple but a good idea regardless.
Once Kronii wrapped up her tale, Fauna asked if she could invite (y/n) over so they could be introduced properly to each other. She agreed and sent a message to him to see if he was free to come over.
Meanwhile at (y/n)'s apartment:
(y/n) was playing a match of Puyo Puyo Tetris when suddenly the sound of a notification appeared which scared him shitless. Resulting in the lost of his concentration which in turn made him blame the notification for his loss. After a few seconds, he grew less annoyed and checked his phone to see who had messaged him. Kronii asked if he were available to come over to her place right now. He was free, but he was also intrigued by her abrupt invitation to her home. He inquired as to why, and she simply stated that she wanted to introduce him to her peers. Or, in the case of (y/n), meeting her closest friends, genmates, and other council members. He felt concerned about creating a positive first impression. Regardless, he had to give it his all because if he didn't, it would signify that nothing had changed in years.
Back at Kronii's apartment:
Once receiving confirmation that (y/n) was coming, the four them couldn't wait to meet him. They decided to think positively and considered that (y/n) could be a good person. If so, they would have gained a new friend to chat and share their interests with. While waiting for (y/n) to arrive, they settled down and continue playing the board game.
An hour passes by and the game was over. The winner was Mumei who was the last one remaining after the others went bankrupt due to Mumei owning half of all properties. The first to lose was Baelz due to her being unlucky and landing on the others property multiple times, making her the quickest that went bankrupt. While Baelz was sulking, a knock on the door was heard. Kronii got up and headed towards the door to investigate the knocking. It was (y/n) and he was holding a plastic bag.
"Pardon the intrusion." (y/n) said as he walked into the apartment and greeted everyone there. Though he didn't know anyone there except Kronii, (y/n) still made an effort to be polite. On the other hand, the others greeted (y/n) with a simple good evening. Both parties were feeling anxious and couldn't say a word to the other, making the atmosphere pretty tense. This lasted for a full minute until the tension was finally broken by Kronii.
"Since this is the first time (y/n) is meeting you guys. How about we do basic introductions?" Kronii made a simple suggestion to ease up her friends. They all agreed to the idea and for the next few minutes they introduced themselves to each another.
It worked as intended, which made them all loosened up a bit and started sharing their interests amongst one another. She mentally sighed, feeling relieved that her friends managed to get along.
Noticing that (y/n) was holding onto a plastic bag, curiosity got the best of her and she asked (y/n) about the bag. He said that he wanted to create a good first impression, so he went out and bought some sweets shortly before arriving at Kronii's house. Placing the bag on the table, he opened it up to reveal a bag containing multiple types of candy. Such as Jocks, Dig Dog, Mintoes and Skittles. The girls smiled, gracefully accepting his gesture. Whilst they ate candy, Baelz got bored and suggested to play another board game. They agreed and several suggestions were thrown around but they all settled on the game of life.
Midway through the game, they all felt hungry and Sana watched the clock. It was quite near for dinner. They decided to eat pizza and so Kronii went to the pizzeria while the others carried on the board game. During the time she was out, others knew it was time to start interrogating but first they needed permission.
Mumei stood up and sat beside (y/n). "(y/n) would you mind telling us about yourself?" she inquired quickly, her gaze fixed on him.
He caved in and agreed since he couldn't stand up to that cute stare. "Sure I guess. What would you like to know first?"
"Well for starters, we would like to know more about your past. If that's alright with you?"
"I'm fine with sharing but a quick warning, I'm not that good of a person you think I am. Are you all fine with that?"
They nodded whilst preparing themselves.
"So, let's start with my youth. When I was younger, I used to be friends with this group of kids. You might say I was the kind of person whom everyone could get along. We used to have a lot of fun after class practically every day, and time seemed to fly by in an instant when we were together. I miss it, and the time I spent with them was a lovely recollection, but I shouldn't linger on those days because they came to an abrupt stop due to a specific occurrence."
The four of them were speechless, and all they could do was sympathise for him. (y/n), on the other hand, shook his head and said "Don't feel sorry for me; I was the one who started the accident and drove them away."
"So, what exactly did you do? I mean, it can't be that horrible, right?" Fauna asked.
"Because this is a private matter, all I'll say for the time being is that I led them to lose trust in me. Despite this, I've already moved on and improved as a result of the experience."
The girls couldn't help but feel torn; (y/n) appeared to be a good person, yet they couldn't just forget about his past. After a few minutes of deliberation, they came to the conclusion that they would accept (y/n) as Kronii's friend and as theirs.
After things were sorted, Kronii returned with the meal and they all ate, whilst conversing with each other through out the meal. Ending the day with a newfound friendship between The Council and (y/n).
