"If someone else saw y'all now, they would think I have a bunny farm."
The comment was made by Lily who had her cheek rested on her palm and looking at the four people in front of her. She had noticed similarities between them before, but couldn't quite put a finger on the fact as to why they feel similar. She has finally managed to figure it out seeing the four of them sitting together and really ironically eating carrot cake that Doyoung baked.
The four of them simultaneously turned to her when they heard that. Lily was again assured about her conclusion when she saw the four creatures turn towards her at the same time, while eating carrot cake.
Intense bunny energy.
Why didn't she notice it before?
"Noona, What are you talking about?"Gaeul asked showing his bunny teeth.
"The four of you look like bunnies,"Lily said.
Doyoung and Jungkook were confused. While Soobin said,"I've heard that. Mi.."He paused as his cheeks turned red.
Lily smirked,"Did Miyeon say it too?"
"No!"Soobin exclaimed while his cheeks turned red like a tomato. Such a bad liar.
Lily chuckled while leaning back on her chair,"I'm quite certain that we can start a bunny cult right now. I can be the cult leader, I can take over the world with a bunch of bunnies."
Doyoung was completely unamused by her cult joke in front of Gaeul. Gaeul immediately asked,"Noona? What's a cult?"
Doyoung smiled,"It is a complex topic, little one. I will explain it to you later."
"Yes, our Gaeul should know such stuff if he wants to be a police officer when he grows up,"Soobin said smiling widely at Gaeul.
Silence hung over the room as soon as Soobin uttered these words. This is an intensely touchy subject. Lily is sure in the last couple of days Doyoung has tried to persuade Gaeul in smart ways to rethink his wish of becoming a police officer. Hard work, insufficient pay, people not acknowledging their efforts what not. Gaeul is not persuaded. For a ten year old he is very stubborn. He keeps saying these three aren't the reason that he's wanting to be a police officer.
Gaeul and Soobin were confused by the silence in the room. Lily quickly changed the subject to not let this grim atmosphere stick around. Her mind is already a chaos. She doesn't want to start something new quite yet.
"Doyoung-ah, your baking is trash,"Lily commented without meaning it, she is sure Doyoung knows it too.
"Trashy baking can be fixed, trashy personality can't be fixed,"Doyoung retorted, savagely.
"Ouch?"Lily smirked,"Our lil Doyoungie has gotten pretty bold. Maybe he wants a knife.."
"AHHH!"Soobin suddenly shouted, like he always shouts when Lily says some out of pocket shit in front of Gaeul.
"Don't listen to her, Doyoung. Your carrot cake is extremely delicious,"Jungkook commented,"Could I have one more slice?"
Doyoung smirked at Lily in victory before turning to Jungkook,"Sure you can, give me your plate."
Lily pretended to be really annoyed but how nice was the sight in front of her. All the people she held close to her heart sitting around the table, eating and enjoying their food. How she wishes things could be like that forever and they didn't have danger looming over their heads every single second. How nice would that be!
Lily sat on Doyoung's backyard where two chairs were set up side by side. Lily came out here for some fresh air while Jungkook and Soobin helped Doyoung clean up the mess they caused after dinner. When Jungkook heard she was going to the backyard he ran towards her and huddled her in the big padded coat he bought a few days ago for her. Thanks to that it still feels warm and cozy even in this cold night.
