Had it all became to much? He didn't really know.
From time to time he wondered why is life so unfair to him as he was walking back to the dorm.
The news he had heard were at least unpleasant.
A hiatus right now was the last thing he needed but with the rumors growing the management forced him to stop participating in any group activities. They even adviced him to move out for a while till everything clears out.
They would give him a dorm room or he could go back to his hometown. If Hyunjin was honest, he had really missed his family and he would do anything to go back for a while. He unlocked the door and headed straight to his room. The house seemed empty and Hyunjin couldn't be more grateful as he finally let out the tears he has been holding in for a while. Pained sobs left his mouth as he slid to the floor. He was angry, every time things were going well, everything had to get ruined, because of him, because of his luck, because of life. Nothing was fair.
Crying, he started packing his things. Some days ago he read the shameful comments so he guessed this little hiatus wouldn't be so little after all, maybe he would never come back at all and these thoughts created another river of tears to slid down his face.
He took everything that belonged to him from his room only leaving behind some photos of all them together and a letter for each one of them, making sure to hide them deep into Minho's drawer hoping for it to be found someday... even if it was too late.It was already midnight when he heard the members entering the dorm. He closed tightly his eyes pretending to sleep. Everyone had to be asleep so he could catch up the first train at 4 a.m.
Soon the muffled voices of his roommates reached his ears."Hey... Jisung... are you asleep?"
"Mhh, no not yet. What happened?"
"Do you think he did it?"
"Do you want me to be honest with you?"
"Um yeah?"
"I really hope he didn't. My heart doesn't want to believe the rumors but then again I could never know. I mean... he's grown to be my best friend but the possibility of him being involved... even if it makes me sad and disgusted, still exists. So yeah, he could have done that."
"I don't think so hyung-"
"You don't have proof of that Jeongin."
"But hyung-"
"Enough Jeongin. Sleep."
"But-"
"We'll talk about that tomorrow. "
With each word Hyunjin felt his heart break but at least he now knew someone, had a little faith on him.
Two hours later he was waiting for the next train.
He wished he could turn back time... that way he wouldn't have been caught in that trap.
If he hadn’t uploaded his photo that day and if the imposter who posted the next one hadn’t tagged his name he wouldn't have been the suspect. If he hadn’t caught them he wouldn't get threatened by them either. But that's how life was to him.
Unfair. He was a fool to believe he could stop this from happening and in fact he put himself in a worse place than Minho, the one who was affected by the photo.
He just wished he would never have to say goodbye.
It was six o'clock when the annoying sound of the alarm woke up the members. They were in a hurry as practice would start soon. They got ready and gathered to the kitchen. Only then did they notice the missing member.
Jeongin was sent to make sure Hyunjin was ready to leave. He ran up the stairs and knocked on his door, with no sound coming from the other side he decided to knock again. After a shout from downstairs to hurry up startled him he harsly opened the door, only to find Hyunjin's room empty and him nowhere to be found.
