A/N: A NEW STORY OMG, WHAT A SURPRISE. *rolls eyes* I need to finish things before I start more things, lol. Uh, enjoy the first chapter! :)
Kellin
"OH MY GOD, YAY!"
I shot up in my bed, waking up with a heart attack. That little bitch woke me up.
"SHUT UP, KATHY!" I yelled angrily. It's too early for this shit. Summer barley started and I already have to deal with her waking me up. I laid back on the bed, rolling over towards the wall and then suddenly my plans of going back to sleep were ruined when the door slammed open.
"KELL, I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!" Kathy squealed. She ran over to me and jumped on my bed, shoving her bright fucking phone in my damn face.
"GET OFF ME!" I groaned. I pushed her off me and she fell to the ground.
"YOU ASSHOLE, THAT HURT!" She yelled, getting up and attacking me. Within seconds, our small little shoving party turned into a full out brawl. She bit my arm, I pulled her hair, she kicked my balls, I punched her boobs, and so on.
"OKAY, OKAY! STOP! YOU GUYS, STOP!" Now my older brother was in the room. "MOM, THEY'RE FIGHTING AGAIN!"
"LET GO OF MY FUCKING HAIR!" Kathy growled. I pulled harder and she started stabbing her thumb into my eye.
"AGGHHHH!" I yelped in pain.
"ALRIGHT, STOP OR YOU'RE BOTH GROUNDED!"
Silence.
I let go of Kathy's hair and she stopped violently stabbing my eye. I placed a hand over my eye and scrunched my face up, wincing at the throbbing pain. Kathy rubbed her head and scowled at me, picking her phone up as we still remained on the ground.
"Okay...good. Now, what the hell was it about this time?" My mom asked. Max stood next to her, looking amused.
"KATHERINE STARTED IT!" I accused.
"DID NOT! IT WAS KELLIN!" She yelled back.
"SHE JUST CAME INTO MY-" I started. Kathy talking over me.
"I WAS EXCITED TO SHOW HIM-" she tried explaining.
"AND POUNCED ON ME LIKE-" I continued.
"MY NEW BOYFRIEND AND HE JUST-" She confessed.
"A FUCKING ANIMAL!" I stated.
"PUSHED ME!" She finished.
"...I...I couldn't hear a thing you two said. How about you try to explain-"
"She-"
"He-"
"Seperetly." She cut us off. I sighed and rolled my eyes because I knew the little princess over here would get her explanation first.
"Kellin pushed me when I was just being nice to him." She said, holding her head up high.
"Kellin! You know you have to be nice to your sister! If she's excited to show you something, you listen to her!"
"But she never listens to me!" I argue.
"She doesn't have to! You're just a kid!" My mom retorted.
"Come on, buddy, just learn to grow up. It's not that hard." Max joined in.
"I was just trying to be nice." Kathy pouted. She got off the floor and stormed out of the room, Max and my mom trailing behind her and I never even got my chance to explain.
I curled my fingers and dug my nails into the palms of my hands, angry at them all. I never have a say in anything. It's always Kathy and Max.
'Oh, Max is in college, he's older, he can have anything he needs, he's allowed to do anything he wants and he's the perfect fucking son.'
'Aw, Kathy's just a sweet little angel, that fragile princess. She can have anything she wants as soon as she asks daddy. They all love her, she's perfect, she never messes anything up.'
Then there's me...the youngest of three. 'My homework isn't hard enough for me to get help, they say. My mind isn't smart enough to make a point, they say. My opinion doesn't matter because I'm too young to understand things, they say. I ruin everything, they say.'
I can't do anything right and they hate me...I say.
-
Five days into Kathy's new relationship and she's talked about the guy nonstop. All I know is, his names Vic and he's got 'big dreamy eyes'.
She's obsessed. Its so annoying. As if she wasn't already a chatter box before, now she's going off like a freaking canary.
"Oh my god, he texted me back! Yay!" She squealed, dropping her fork on the table. Max was sat next to me, groaning in annoyance, my dad at one end of the table giving Kathy the death glare, and my mom at the other end, shaking her head with a slight smile.
"So is this little relationship just a texting thing..or?" Max teased. Kathy looked up at him and stuck her tongue out.
"No, Max. I'm actually gonna see him tomorrow!" She said smugly.
"Oh really?" My dad asked, turning to look at her properly. "And who said that was okay?"
She shrunk a little in her seat, playing with a piece of her hair. And that, is how I know she's about to get her way again.
"I told her she could. She'll be fine, honey." My mom answered. She was excited about Kathy getting a boyfriend so of course she'd take her side on this one.
"No, she's gonna be alone with a boy." My dad argued, getting protective. "You know what I wanted when I was a teenager? Sex. That boy just wants sex and I'm not letting him touch my little girl!"
"Mark!" My mom scolded. "You're overreacting."
"We won't do anything, we're just gonna hang out!" Kathy pleaded. "Please, daddy, please! He's a good guy!"
My dad looked at her for a while.
Don't fucking say yes.
His face softened and he sighed.
"Tell you what. How about he comes here instead? That way you can see him and I'll be able to see you too. And no funny business." My dad gave in. Kathy let out a squeal and jumped up to hug my dad.
"Got it! No funny business. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" She beamed. She picked her plate up and dumped it in the sink, then quickly and excitedly ran up the stairs.
"Hey uh...dad? Can I go to Jack's house tomorrow?" I asked, moving my fork around.
I was never too great with talking to my dad. We never really talked, actually. He wanted me to be a sports kind of kid, play football. He wanted me to be tough too, but I didn't grow up the way he wanted me to and I guess I've let him down too much for us to get along these days. God, if he only knew what I was hiding from him.
"What for?" He asked, not even looking up at me. Max finished his food next to me and got up to leave.
"Just to hang out. It's summer, I kind of want to have some fun, you know?" I spoke quietly. I shouldn't be this intimidated by my own family.
"Pshh." He laughed. "You don't need to hang out with anyone. You're gonna stay here tomorrow and do chores while your moms at work. Finish your food."
I opened my mouth to speak but he cut me off.
"I said no."
I closed my mouth and swallowed the lump forming in my throat, picking up my juice and taking a sip. Both my mom and dad got up and left the kitchen. I sat there, alone at the table, staring down at my food, not more than one spoonful of it gone.
I felt my hands start to shake the longer I stared. I shut my eyes and finished eating, the entire time not opening my eyes.
When I was finished, I put my plate in the sink and quickly ran off to the bathroom.
