Kellin

Since being here, I've only met Vic's dad because his moms been at work. Today though, my third day being here, she's off and currently downstairs. She was making breakfast and Vic's dad said she was eager to meet me. I was nervous, honestly.

"What if she doesn't like me?" I mumbled.

"Oh hush, baby. She's gonna love you. Why wouldn't she?"

"Because I'm awkward and invading her privacy staying at her house without even a warning. And you never even told her about us...doesn't that bother her? She thought you had a girl friend this whole time."

"Kell, it's fine, they never met her. I always talked about you anyway...they loved that you were making me happy."

"You talked about me?" I asked.

"Well...yes, but they thought I was talking about Kathy, that doesn't matter though. I'm gonna tell them everything okay? My mom won't be mad, my dad won't be mad, my mom is gonna love you."

"Oh yea, they're gonna love the fact that I practically stole my sisters boy friend." I mumbled.

"Hey, you didn't steal me. She never had me."

I blushed as he took my face in his hands and spoke to me with the most sincere and positive voice I've ever heard out of him. He pressed a kiss to my lips three times, causing me to smile in between each one.

"I love you." I spoke, biting my bottom lip.

Vic

I loved hearing those words spill out out of his pretty little mouth. It ignited all these little feelings inside of me that I didn't know what to do with half of the time. Seeing him smile at me like he does makes me feel absolutely spectacular.

"I love you too." And I couldn't help but to lean down and give him an Eskimo kiss as I said it. He giggled, the beautiful sound of his voice filling my ears. My chest tightened and it felt like it would pop at any moment; but that's just how he made me feel.

"Now let's go downstairs. You need to eat anyway." I chuckled. He smiled a little and nodded, getting up off the bed with me and taking my hand in his as my feet took us to where we needed to be.

"Mama, Kellin's here." I spoke, catching her attention. She looked up from the stove, grinning as she saw the two of us.

"Oh, Vic you don't tell me he was so gorgeous!"

Kellin's cheeks went scarlet red as his eyes widened, watching her step towards him to engulf him in a hug.

I laughed, thanking god right now that my mom was so honest. It'll just warm him up to her more. I was honestly so relieved that she reacted the way she did. I had never told either of my parents about my sexuality before. I never really felt like I needed to just because I never really had a boy friend before. Since I do now, it only seemed fair to speak up.

"Come sit, sweetie. Tell me about yourself..how'd you meet my boy?" My mom was without a doubt, excited to meet him. I couldn't stop smiling as I sat down with them at the table. My dad came in and continued cooking what my mom had abandoned.

"Um...well, he-he was-" I could see how nervous he was to say it.

"He's Kathy's brother." I explained. "He's gonna be a sophomore. He's 16."

"Oh. Okay, alright, how long has it been?" She asked.

"Like three weeks." Kellin smiled. "Well, officially, anyway. I know you may not like how Vic and I met...but I really love him and it'd mean a lot to me if you'd give me a chance."

Kellin played with his fingers, not making eye contact. I pulled one of his hands away from his lap and laced my fingers in between his.

"Sweetie, of course. I just want my Vic to be happy." My mom smiled. "And I think you're just lovely."

Kellin's face lit up at that and that's all that mattered.

Once my dad had finished cooking, the food was served and the topic remained on my boyfriend. Both of my parents seemed to like Kellin, they were hitting it off great.

I felt elated and at ease now with everything out in the open, and then it was ruined.

"Have you two had sex yet? Victor you know you need to use protection."

My eyes widened.

"Mom, stop!" I blushed. Kellin laughed, his face as red as mine.

"Wrap up that sausage, Vic. We don't want any babies yet." My dad pitched in. I almost choked on my food.

"He can't get pregnant!"

"I'm a boy!" Kellin argued.

"That didn't stop my friend in college." My dad muttered. Kellin dropped his fork, looking at me with a pleading expression.

"I think-I think were just gonna go to my room." I excused us. We both stood up ready to leave.

"Okay, don't have too much fun." My mom laughed.

"Oh god." I took Kellin's hand and ran to my room with him quick.

"I'm so sorry." I groaned.

"It's okay. It was embarrassing but I like your parents a lot." Kellin laughed.

"I'm glad."

"But...um...do they know I'm staying for a month? I don't want to be a burden."

"You're not, darling. Relax. I'll tell them. To be honest, I don't want you to go. I like having you here. The house isn't so lonely anymore."

"What do you mean? You have your parents." Kellin questioned. I sighed, biting my lip.

"Yea but, mama's always at work and my dad is always busy...it's just been really quiet around here without Mike."  I admitted. "I don't feel alone anymore."

"You won't be. I'm here and even when I move into my mom's place, I'll come over a lot and keep you company, okay?"

"Okay. Thank you." I smiled.

"You're welcome, baby."
