Aura couldn't control her breathing, it felt like she used to 200 years ago, when her panic attacks used to control every aspect of her life. For some reason Loki always found the perfect way to trigger these, without even trying he could always push that small button inside her that made everything harder.

Aura pushed through the doors of her room, her hands moving behind her trying to undo her corset as quickly as possible. The struggle to breath wasn't letting up any time soon, almost as if she felt like undoing those strings that were crushing her chest would help. Her nimble fingers fiddled harsher as her frustration grew when she realised how hard it would be to undo.

"Your highness?" A meek voice called out from the crack that Aura hadn't realised she left at her bedroom door.

Her hand maid stood peaking through the gap. The small woman with tattered copper hair let out a small smile hoping that the princess would allow her to enter to help her.

"Lily please!" Aura begged out to her.

Lily moved quickly into the room, closing and locking the door behind her trying to give Aura any semblance of privacy. It was beyond rare to hear any of the royal family beg for anything, but Aura was never shy around Lily. Guess she learnt not to be shy every morning she had to stand naked in front of the woman who was only 8 years older than her.

Aura's breathing continued to increase the more her thoughts were consumed with the image replaying in her mind over and over again. Lily placed her fingers around the fabric ties undoing the entire corset in only a few seconds. The boned fabric fell from her body instantly, crumpling onto the floor in a small heap.

"Princess...are you okay?"

"Lily, how many times do I have to tell you to call me Aura. You've been my friend for 6 years now."

"Aura...are you okay?"

"No..." Aura sighed out a deep breath. Knowing that even if she trusted Lily with everything there was no way that she could tell her.

"What happened? Was it Master Loki?" Lily questioned intently. Aura swore she saw a glimmer of something in her eye at the mention of Loki.

"Get out!" Aura softly muttered, even the mention of his name spent a tingle down her spine as well as a flush of anger through her chest.

"Aura..."

"GET OUT!"

Lily turned into a meek figure again, her shoulders slumping back down trying to make herself seem smaller. She gave a quick curtsy to the princess before she moved to the hallway before walking out of the room.

Aura believed the corset had helped her breathing but the minute she stood in silence in the room it felt worse, like the whole room was swallowing her whole. She brought her hand to her chest, her nails trying to scratch the skin to bring any air into her lungs. Her body crumpled into a pile just like her corset earlier. Her legs caved in colliding with the floor, the wood scratching her knees ripping the skin, small pools of blood seeping out below her. Aura leant forward trying to ground herself the only way she knew how, her powers.

Aura pulled one hand away from her chest pulling her palm in front of her face. A flicker of light grew in the centre, rising lightly into the sky as she formed a glowing ball. Using all the strength she had left she tried to make the light brighter as it continued to float higher above her.

She lost herself in the light above her, almost like a trance had taken over her body. Everything about her became lost in the light, like every thought that night had escaped from her body and was sitting in that vibrant sphere.
