Loki stormed through the corridors that were dawned with the portraits of all the ancestors, carved in various stones or painted on the lavish walls. His fury was boiling over. Fucking Aura. Dickhead Thor. His thoughts consumed in anger for his two siblings, the two golden children who could do no wrong. Loki on the other hand, every mistake, every screw up was publicly displayed to all that would listen to Odin's stories. The stories of the young prince who could never be truly worthy of the throne.

"Bring me Gail." Loki demanded to the guard posted at the entrance to the hallway of his and Aura's chambers.

The guard nodded hastily before he darted to fetch one of Loki's multiple women that he had been known to frequent his bed chambers. It was well known throughout Asgard that the youngest prince had a taste for a particular type of woman. He had never once in his entire life entertained the idea of starting a courtship with any young women, despite the attempts from his father.

Loki angrily shrugged off the dark jacket from his shoulders. Pictures of Aura flashed into his mind, the dress she wore today clung to every curve of her body like it was made for her. When his hands wrapped around the fabric he squeezed the material into a ball throwing it towards the corner of his room. He wanted to scream. He wanted to burn the castle down with all the magic he could muster. Rather all he could think to do was sit on the edge of his bed running his fingers through his hair.

A small wrap on the door interrupted his self loathing for one moment. It wasn't exactly a surprise to him who would be standing on the other side of the door. His brain racking trying to decide whether he would even answer it at this point. Part of him just wanted to sit in his chambers alone. Another part wanted nothing more than to use Gail as a distraction and toss her out the minute he was done.

His internal argument with himself was once again interrupted by another round of incessant knocking on the door. Loki stormed to the door flinging it open with a frustrated look plastered on his face, not that it was any different to his normal attitude. His expectation of seeing Gail in her typical copper coloured dress that he had seen in all their interactions.

For the first time in his life Loki could genuinely say that shock that he felt when that door opened was visible on his face. Frigga. Mother.

"Mother?" Loki stuttered out her title in a question rather than a greeting.

Loki spotted the guard that he ordered to get a woman stoof shaking at the end of the hall, almost like he was conflicted with different instructions.

"Loki." Frigga didn't waste any time moving into his chambers without a care for Loki's schedule, or potential plans.

"Now isn't a great time."

Frigga didn't even give a reply, rather she moved into his room taking a seat on one of his lounge chairs.

"Come sit with me." Her voice was always so calm, even when Loki was a child and she had to scold him she was still so sweet.

"It's really just not th..." Loki tried to figure out another excuse to be alone, but for the God of Mischief he was getting pretty bad at this.

"Loki. Come sit."

Loki begrudgingly moved towards the opposite chair he had set up in the right corner of his room. The plush green velvet may have been comfortable but he knew deep down that in this situation he would be anything but comfortable in this conversation.

"What is it mother?"

"I'm sure you are aware Thor has returned to Asgard."

Loki scoffed, of course this conversation was going to be about Thor. Everything was in the end.
