Odin laid still in the chamber, many guards and people floating around at his aid. Aura and Loki stood beside him waiting for Frigga to enter the room. She knew. Frigga was always aware of everything.

"I asked him to be honest with you from the beginning." Loki and Aura turned around to face the allmother. "There should be no secrets in a family."

Aura turned quickly, trying to hide the blush from her mother. She didn't exactly feel like talking about whatever these feeling were she had for Loki. She was confused.

"So why did he lie?" Loki stepped towards her trying to take hold of her hands. He always did that when he needed that motherly comfort.

Aura wrapped her arms around herself, she not only was conflicted about how she felt for Loki but now started blaming herself for Odin.

Loki noticed Aura withdrawing. He wanted to scream at her, tell her off for listening to him in a moment where he felt heartbroken. He never wanted her to see him like that. But at that moment he wanted to wrap his arms around her and tell her it was not her fault.

"He kept the truth from you so that you would never feel different. You are in every way our son, Loki, and we are your family. You must know that."

Frigga begged at that moment, hoping to keep her family together. However, what she hadn't realised was that she made Aura and Loki's stomachs turn with guilt and a loss of hope. At this point neither of them were denying their need for one another, but they couldn't. Not without ripping apart the family that Odin and Frigga tried to build together.

Frigga let her eyes fall away from her two children, she needed a break. She needed time to herself. She let out a small sigh before she left the chamber that held Odin's sleeping body.

Aura and Loki both could feel the tension building in the room, neither of them knowing how to handle this situation. Loki recalled the events and it was taking everything in him not to scream at her. Aura's arms were still wrapped around herself, almost like she was protecting herslef from what she could feel was coming.

"Lok..." She started, her eyes trained anywhere

"DON'T!" His voice snapped to silence her.

Aura could sense herself drawing back into herself. She had fucked up and Loki was not going to let it go that easily.

Loki let out a breath, almost like he was trying to calm himself. His whole world had just come crashing down around him but Aura was the only person left that he could take his anger out on.

"Why were you even there?" Loki tried to calm his voice, although Aura knew he was frustrated at her.

"I...I couldn't sleep...and then I could here yelling. I didn't mean...to...Loki I'm so sorry."

His eyes softened at her, he knew it was not her fault. It was not something she did...it was Odin. No matter how hard he tried though his entire self-perception had been rocked. He knew something was always wrong with him, now he knew what it was. He was a monster, and it was time he played the part.

Loki let out a small laugh at her before he spoke again. He needed to push her away. He was not just her brother, he was beneath her and now he was also the monster that would destroy her.

"Sorry? Sorry! I don't need your pity! You are nothing more than a pathetic princess that has been raised in castle walls. No experience in life. You are nothing more than a glorified prize that Odin will pass onto anyone who would deem to take an unsightly, pitiful woman with nothing more to offer a man than what is between her legs."

The warm tears began to cascade down her face. He was right. She was nothing more than Odin's possession to pass around how he saw fit.

"I am well aware of my place Loki! Are you?" Aura snapped back but filled with instant regret.

"I am highly aware! Odin made that extremely clear! And I clearly have no place here anymore! I was never good enough for anyone and I was not good enough for this family! So would you kindly leave me the fuck alone!" Loki tried to hold back the tears that he wanted so desperately to hide.

Before Aura could even process the hurt and damage behind Loki's words he had vanished in a cloud of green smoke and dust. Leaving nothing but the silence and Aura's own pain that had been carved into her chest with Loki's cruel words. Of course you'd think she would have gotten used to them by now but not since...well not since whatever the hell started happening between them.

Aura couldn't even begin to process everything that had just happened within the past couple of hours. Everything was shattering around her. What she knew her entire life had been a lie. Her father had lied to her. Her whole family had been built on a lie, a lie that would destroy Loki.

Aura ran trying to find the one good thing left in her life. Her brother. Thor.

She knew exactly the two spots he may have been; either the training courtyard or his chambers. As she passed the training grounds he clearly was not there. Her brain shut off looking for him, trying not to overthink every experience that she had ever had with her father.

His chambers were the only other places he could have been.

"THOR!" Her voice carried down the corridors even startling the guards that were guarding Thor's chamber floor.

"He's gone to Midgard princess." The guard's tone was full of nothing but formality.

"When did he leave?"

"Don't long after he heard the news of your father."

He had left. He'd really abandoned her yet again. Like she was always everyone's after thought. What did she even have left at this point. Loki would never want to lay eyes on her again, Thor was gone, her mother was only concerned with the Allfather and her father not only was gone but had betrayed them all.

Over the next week Aura had to keep herself occupied one way or another. Her search for Loki had been all in vain considering he had not been seen by anyone, to the point of not knowing whether he'd even remained on Asgard.

Aura laid on her bed, no one had even bothered to speak to her since her father had fallen into the Odin sleep. She had been revealing in her own thoughts, thoughts that were filled with the dark prince, or at least that was his title given by those who knew nothing of him. She had looked everywhere for him, or at least that is what she thought.

She shoots directly up from her position, the one place she never would go, the one place that Loki would be able to hide from everyone.

The prison cells.

Even though her body felt like it was on fire with nerves, she was always told by Odin that the cells were full of terrible people. Those who had committed the worst crimes against Asgard. Her small heels clicked with the tiled ground, almost drowning out her heartbeat that she could feel all over her body.

The prisoners seemed not even fazed by her entrance. Many simply ignored her presence, all but one that is.

"Loki?"

Aura could see the fear run through his body. Locked away in the confines of a guarded chamber with nothing but a bed and his books.

He slowly rose up from his bed, his eyes falling to his...well not his sister he supposed in his mind. He had done everything in his power to avoid her but here they were, together once again, like the universe had a plan for them.

OHHHHH WHERE IS THIS GOING TO GO? LOKI LOCKING HIMSELF AWAY? AURA THINKING ABOUT HIM CONSTANTLY? WHAT COULD THIS POSSIBLY MEAN?
