Scarlett
"A job opportunity? What are you talking about?" She questions, surprise fully coating her tone. It was then that I realised what I was getting myself into, explaining all of this to her was going to be quite the journey.
"I'll explain everything soon. Meet me at our spot in the park in thirty, I'd rather do this in person," I explain, hoping that she won't question me any further than she already has and just agree.
"Alright. But you better explain why I'm only hearing from you now after hours without a word," she commands, not in an authoritative way, but in a worried way. I hate that I did this to her.
"I will. See you soon."
"See you."
After saying a short goodbye, I hang up the phone. I start to contemplate and wonder how the hell I'm going to explain all of this to her. This whole situation is absurd, unbelievable, one you would only find in the fictional pages of a book. This wasn't going to be easy.

I don't know why I initially made plans with Elena to go out and meet considering I didn't even know if I was allowed to leave where they took me to in the first place. Blue-Eyes' minions were stubborn, as I said before a bunch of broken records, the only words I constantly heard being: "You're not allowed to leave unless boss allows you to" over and over again. The funny thing being that they didn't even allow me to speak their blue-eyed boss to ask permission until Blue-Eyes heard the commotion after us arguing for around thirty minutes. I was expecting him to immediately decline what I wanted, but to my surprise he sided with me because apparently he thinks that 'spending some time in the outside world would help with making my decision'. However, just in classic character of him, he made sure to add "don't do anything stupid" just as I was about to walk out the door. Asshole.
But now here I was, standing in Central Park silently watching Elena sit on a bench anxiously waiting for my arrival, while I start to build up the courage to face my reality. Sharing my experience out loud would make everything becoming all the more real.
As I walk towards her, a twig underneath me snaps and Elena immediately turns her head in the direction of the sound to meet my eyes. Her eyes widen in excitement and relief upon finally seeing me in one piece as she jumps up from the bench onto her own two feet and sprints over to me, wrapping her arms around me graciously.
"I'm so glad you're okay, I was worried sick that something happened to you," she admits into my shoulder taking a long breath out, as if she was holding it in for hours.
"I know." I reciprocate her hug and wrap my arms around her, immediately feeling safe and relieved. The hundreds of wheels in my head were turning at a rapid speed as I tried to figure out how I would break the news to her.
"So what happened?" She questions once again, pulling away from the hug but still keeping her hands on my shoulders. Her brows furrow as she looks at me quizzically, desperately wanting an answer. Here we go then.
"I think you may want to sit down for this."

"You WHAT?" She blurts out frantically and disbelieving.
"I got kidnapped."
Suddenly, she bursts out laughing, she obviously didn't believe a word I said. Of course she wouldn't, who would?
"Nice joke, Scarlett, but I'm being serious."
"So am I."
"You can't get kidnapped and then magically be here a couple hours later."
