(Gadja's p.o.v.)

The boy named Asta told me who the culprit behind the vanishing people is, are rather what. He said that it was a demon hunting it's next meal, and he was a Demon Slayer sent to kill it. Honestly, I was skeptical about it, but I was determined to get to the bottom of this. So, I told Asta that I would tag along with him for the night. I wanted to see it with my own eyes.

A few hours later- Nighttime

Asta and I began to patrol the streets in the dark. From the information I gathered while investigating, I learned that all those people disappeared at nighttime. The boy explained that the reason for that was because sunlight would kill a demon, so they could only move around when the sun doesn't shine in the sky. 'If what he said is true, that would explain why these people go missing in the dead of night.' I thought when suddenly Asta quickly shifted his attention to his left. I asked, "What's wrong?" "The demon. It just popped it's head up." He replied before he started running. I had to use reinforcement magic to keep up with him, because despite being so small, he was remarkably fast for his age. We ran until Asta suddenly stopped, drew his sword and stabbed the wall on his right. I was confused as to why he did that until I heard someone cry in pain from the wall, then I a teenage girl came and fell out of the shadows, with Asta's blade right between her legs. He retracted his sword and caught the girl, then an evil-looking man with horns emerged with his left leg bleeding. 'So, this is a demon. Asta was telling the truth.' I thought while looking at the inhuman figure. He told me to hold onto the girl and keep her safe, and I did so. "Bastard! She's gonna go stale! Get the hell out of my way, and let me eat her before she loses flavor!" The demon yelled in anger. That confirmed that he was the one responsible for the missing people. I was about to pull out my grimoire when Asta said, "Don't. Stay back, magic won't kill him, so you'll just be in the way." I couldn't believe what that kid told me that I was in the way. "You can't be serious?! I'm more experienced in combat than you!" I told him. He replied, "Still, you can't kill demons with magic, only a Demon Slayer's sword can. Now, stand down." I decided to stay back and watch the boy fight that man eating monster.

  (Asta's p.o.v.)

My sword drawn, and my senses sharpened, I was ready to fight the demon who stood before me. 'This demon moves through the shadows, that must be his Blood Demon Art. It will make it tricky to kill him, but I can manage.' I thought before the demon sunk into the shadows. He reappeared behind about to strike, but I sidestepped out of the way and quickly turned to strike at his neck. However, he leaned back and dodged my attack. He lunged toward me, trying to impale me with his claws. I used my sword to block it. I jumped back, landed on the nearby wall, and pushed off to launch myself at him. I took a breath and attacked.

Water Breathing First Form: Water Surface Slash!

I moved too fast for him to react and his head was severed from his body with a horizontal slash. It's body fell to the ground as it dissolved. After I landed on my feet, I put my sword away, and turned to face Gadja. He was obviously surprised by what he had just seen. I said to him, "You alright?" He snapped out of it and replied, "Oh, yeah I am. I'm surprised by how quickly you moved, did you use reinforcement magic?" I answered, "No, in fact I was born without any magic power. That was pure physical ability." He was shocked by that fact. I couldn't blame him, I would've had the same reaction if I was him. "You did all that with just muscle strength?" I nodded to answer his question. He regained his composure and said, "Well, thank you for putting an end to this case. Please, come to the palace, I'm sure the princess would like to thank you as well." Before I could answer, my crow landed on my should and said that I had another mission already. Gadja was surprised that a crow spoke in front of him. I said, "Yeah, I had the same reaction when I heard him speak for the first time. Anyway, sorry I can't come with you, as you know, I have another assignment." He nodded and replied, "I understand, maybe next time we meet." I nodded back and said goodbye before I left for my next job.

  (Loropechka's p.o.v.)

I was absolutely astonished by what I had seen, and asked Undine, "Undine, have you ever heard of the Demon Slayer Corps?" She replied, "I have, though it's been a couple hundred years since I heard that name." She explained what she knew about the demons and the Corps. I was intrigued that such people were out there in the world. I said, "Well, I wish I could meet that boy right now, but he has a duty to protect humanity." I only watched as the kid named Asta set out on his next assignment as a protector of humanity.

  (Yuno's p.o.v.).

I was standing on the balcony of my room at the Silva estate, looking at the night sky. I said, "Asta, I wonder what happened to you, and what you are doing right now?....... One day, we will meet again, brother." I was unaware that someone was peeking through my bedroom door at the time.

  (Noelle's p.o.v.)

I heard what Yuno said, and it made me sad to see him like that. When I first met him, I could see his determination in his eyes, but when I look deeper I saw guilt and loneliness. I could only imagine what he must've been going through. So, I decided that I would do everything I could to help him achieve his goals on that night.
