(Asta's p.o.v.)

Liebe, the Kamado's, and I had went to Urokodaki's home to sit down and chat for a while. I told my old master about my travels and how Liebe join the Corps, and he was rather impressed that I was made a Hashira at the age of 12, which was an impressive feet in and of itself. Putting that aside, Urokodaki turned his attention to Tanjiro, who had just come back after taking the former Hashira's test, and he was pretty banged up. I wasn't this wounded when I went down Urokodaki's mountain the first time. My old master said to him, "You are now my new student, Tanjiro Kamado."

Me and Liebe were ready to continue our trek to Heart Kingdom as we stood outside Urokodaki's house with him saying our goodbyes. "Good luck, you two. I hope that you both stay safe." We nodded and I said, "We will, and we will meet again, sensei." He nodded and the two of us left.

It was almost noon when we had finally arrived in the capital of Heart Kingdom, and we were greeted by an old friend of mine, the Spirit Guardian, Gaja. "It's been a long time, Asta." Gaja asked. "About 5 years, Gaja. Were you expecting us?" I inquired. He answered, "Yes, in fact the princess had suspected that a Demon Slayer would arrive shortly." Liebe asked, "So, your queen confirmed there was a demon behind the disappearances?" I introduced my new brother in arms, "This is my partner, Liebe. The stopping the abductions were actually assigned to him." The Spirit Guardian greeted him, and said, "There's still plenty of time before sunset, the princess wishes to meet you while you have free time." I remembered that last time we met, Gaja invited me to meet the ruler of Heart Kingdom, but because I had immediately received my next job, I had to take a raincheck. "Sure." I replied. With that, the Guardian lead us to the royal palace to meet the princess of Heart Kingdom.

When we got there, Gaja guided us to the throne room to meet the ruler. We arrived in the throne room and were welcomed by a giant woman wearing a dress made of water.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Asta of the Demon Slayer Corps. My name is Loropechka, I'm the ruler of Heart Kingdom. And behind me is the Water Spirit Undine." She said. Liebe and I bow and I said, "It's an honor to meet you, Your Majesty." Loropechka replied, "No need for formalities, you have saved my people for demons. And I assume that you're here to do it again?" We stood up straight and Liebe said, "Correct, the recent case of your citizens vanishing was assigned to me as my first job as a Demon Slayer. My name is Liebe." Undine spoke up, "Liebe, from the presence you're giving, I assume that you're a devil?" The both of us were surprised that she could tell what Liebe really was. "I am, but I can assure you that I have no interest in harming humans, I honestly couldn't care less about them." Liebe stated. Loropechka replied, "I know you speak the truth, otherwise you wouldn't be a Demon Slayer. But, I am curious as to why would you want to be a Demon Slayer when you don't care about humans?" Liebe told them his story and the reason why he became a Demon Slayer. Loropechka, Gaja, even Undine had a look of pity on their faces. "I'm sorry that happened to you, and I hope you avenge your foster mother." Undine said. Loropechka announced, "Well, you two must be hungry after your long journey here, why don't we continue this conversation over lunch." The two of us nodded in agreement and we all went to the dining hall to eat.

Time skip to sunset

"Good luck you two, please put this demon and all it's victims to rest." Loropechka asked. Liebe replied, "We will." Both of us turned to head into the city and begin our hunt for the demon. It was about midnight night when we stumbled on the demon stalking it's next meal. I turned to my partner and said, "It's time." He nodded and drew his sword before walking to his target.

(Liebe's p.o.v.)

I was walking to the demon with my sword drawn. When I got about 10 yards away from it I got a good look at it. It was male with long black hair, red eyes, and had two horns growing out of the side of his head. When he was close enough to grab the unsuspecting woman, I called out, "Hey!" They both turned to me and the woman looked at the demon and ran away screaming. The demon stood there and said to me, "You bastard! You scared off my dinner!" I replied, "I didn't scare her, it was your creepy face that ran her off." If he wasn't angry before, he was definitely angry then. He charged at me, ready to strike me with his claws, but I blocked it with my sword and gave a swift kick to the stomach, sending him back a few feet. While he was sliding back I charged forward unleash my next attack.

"Wind Breathing: First Form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter!"

The strike slice the demon's head clean off, killing it. I sheathed my sword and I saw Asta coming towards me. "That was quick." He stated. I replied, "Yeah, I was expecting a challenge." "Well, don't worry. There are a lot stronger demons than that guy." He assured me. Then suddenly, we felt a familiar Ki coming to us, and we knew exactly who it was. We turned to where it was coming from and saw Gaja approaching us. "Excellent work you two. Princess Loropechka asked me to keep an eye on you and help any way I could if you were in trouble." Gaja explained. "Thanks Gaja, but there wasn't any need." Asta said to the guardian. "Well regardless, you are guests of her highness, and she would like to repay you for saving our citizens. So, she invited you both you stay at the palace for the night. Seeing that you'll need your rest before you both leave for your next assignment." Asta and I looked at each and looked back at Gaja saying, "We appreciate her invitation, and we'll accept."
