Trouble

Part 1

*Tom POV*

Mattheo, Draco, Pansy, Blaise, Lorenzo, Daphne and I were walking through the halls on our way to the great hall for dinner. We were a bit early but we wanted to hurry up and eat so we could get back to the dorms and have a few drinks. We walk in the great hall and it is surprisingly full. We get to the table and sit in our usual spot at the back, Draco and Mattheo sitting on one side with Pansy sitting next to Draco . The rest of us sit on the opposite side with Daphne sitting on the end, opposite pansy.

 I think they were talking about some random Ravenclaw dude and I really couldn't care anymore. The 5 of us started talking about how we were planning on beating Gryffindor in quidditch this year. We got lucky this year to have all of us on the team plus 2 other boys, Crabbe and Goyle. I've met them a few time but they mostly follow Draco around. Draco is the Captain on the team and the seeker. His two 'minions' are both beaters and not going to lie they both have a hard hit, but it's not always accurate. Mattheo plays the keeper while Blaise Lorenzo and I all play Chasers. 

We got interrupted from our discussion by a light tapping sound. Everyone went quiet and turned to face the front where professor Dumbledore was standing in front of  the rest of the teachers. 

" Good evening students. I would just like to quickly welcome a good friend of mine Horace Slughorn, who will be taking the role as your new potions professor. I would also like to congratulate professor Snape on his new position as defence against the dark arts teacher." 

Most of the slytherins start clapping for professor Snape while some gryffindor's like the weasleys start booing. Just before we were about to leave, professor Snape comes up to our group. 

" There is a new student arriving later tonight and I think she would fit in well in your group. I expect you to wait for her in the common room to meet her after dinner. She has already been sorted into Slytherin and im putting all of you in charge of looking after her while she is getting settled in." he says in his monotone voice then he walks away not giving any of them time to argue. 

Daphne and Pansy seem to be excited for this new girl but us boys just want to go back to dorm for our weekly drink. The girls force us to wait with them so we all sit down at the common room at our usual spot on the couches by the fireplace. Mattheo and i sit on the couch with our backs to the common room door while pansy and daphne are sitting on the couch to our left and Blaise and Draco sit on the couch to our right. Lorenzo sits on the floor in front of the coffee table in the middle and we all start talking.

" I can't wait to have a new girl in the group." Pansy tells all of us

" Am i not enough Pans?!" Daphne exclaims with a fake angry face while crossing her arms

" No you are. It's just there are too many boys and they're not really the best to talk to about gossip." pansy says calmly

" Who said we're going to let her in the group? Just because we have to help her around for a few days doesn't mean she's in the group." Mattheo says from next to me. 

" Well that's a bit mean brother!" 

Everyone turns around and standing by the entrance i see the last person i thought i would have seen.

*Y/N POV*

I walk in through the doors into a dark room with barely any light except for the green glow coming from the windows which i can only presume is from the lake, and the fireplace at the other end of the common room.

 Surrounding the fireplace i see a group of 7 kids about my age. They must be the ones Snape told me to speak to. I walk a bit closer to the group when i recognize the two boys that are sitting with their backs to me. I could recognize them anywhere. They both have similar jett black  hair. Mattheos is more curly while Tom's is a little wavy. 

I hear Mattheo saying about how their not going to let the new kid into the group. I'm guessing that they are talking about me. 

" Well that's a bit mean brother!" I say with a bit of a chuckle to the end of it. 

Everyone turns to me with wide eyes at the fact that i just called Matheo brother. Both him and Tom just stood there wide eyes facing me. 

" Did you just call Mattheo brother?!" a girl with dark brown hair asks

" Yes, i did. Didn't either of them tell you about me." i said pointing to both Tom and Mattheo

no one says anything for a few seconds so i walk over to the couch that the boys were just sat on and sit down. Tom and Mattheo just look at me, then each other, then back at me. All of a sudden both boys sit down on either side of me and burry me in a big bear hug. After a bit i squeeze my way out and look at them. I swear i saw tears in both their eyes. I just sit there while the rest of them look around and all seem confused. Finally a girl with dirty blonde hair speaks up and stands in front of me with her hand out.

" hey, Im Daphne Greengrass. Welcome to hogwarts, what's your name?" 

"Y/N Riddle, Tom and Mattheo's sister." i said shaking her hand. 

" Wait how come we never knew that, by the way i'm Blaise Zabini. If you need help with anything you can come to me." a tall dark skinned boy said to me with a wink at the end. 

" Blaise shut up. Hi im Pansy, i'm so happy to  have another girl in the group! Oh and this is Lorenzo and Draco." the dark haired girl from before said pointing to two other boys. 

I just smile and wave to the boys. One boys smiles and waves back but the other just stares at me. I whisper to Daphne,

" hey what's up with him?"

"Oh that's just how he is. He can be a bit... moody sometimes." Daphne tells me.
