Chapter 11
Chloe the results of the paternity test have come back and I want you with me when we open the envelope. Chloe read the text one last time before she knocked on the door to Liam’s apartment. She wasn’t sure she was doing the right thing but she had also talked to Molly and Harry about what was going on and they both agreed that she should be there for him right now.
“Chloe, you came” a very sleep deprived Liam said.
“Liam, you look like you haven’t slept in a week” she said walking into his flat.
“Yeah it feels like it too,” he chuckled dryly, “Scarlett is still getting used to the time difference.”
“I bet she is,” Chloe said sitting down on the couch, “so, who’s going to open it” she nodded her head towards the envelope on the table.
“I thought maybe you could” Liam said sitting down next to her on the couch holding little Scarlett.
“Oh, okay,” she said a little surprised before she leant forward and opened the envelope, “it’s positive, Liam she’s yours” Liam wasn’t shocked but he was confused he didn’t know what to do next and he was also happy Scarlett was his and not Rhianna’s boyfriend or ex-boyfriend Bailey’s. Rhianna had a look of relief wash over her face she had been so worried that she might have been wrong and Scarlett wasn't Liam’s. Chloe was happy for Liam but inside her whole world came crashing down, she knew Liam would stick by Rhianna and she knew she would get pushed to the side but she knew she had to stick by Liam for as long as he wanted her around.
“So, what happens now?” Liam asked breaking the awkward silence.
“You do what’s best for Scarlett.” Chloe said looking at the sleeping baby in Liam’s arms.
“What would be the best thing for her?” Liam asked looking at Chloe who was refusing to look at him.
“I step away and let you 3 become a proper family.”
“No offense, but I’ve been living with Liam for the past couple days and I don’t think I can do it for much longer” Rhianna said from where she was sitting.
“No, Chloe just because Scar is my daughter doesn’t mean we have to break-up.”
“Yes it does it’s the best thing for her”
“No, the best thing for her is that her parents are happy, and do you really think Rhianna and I could be happy. And Rhianna you have to stay here where else are you going to go?”
“Nowhere” Rhianna said in defeat.
“I have an idea, Liam you could move in with me and we can set up a nursery in Emma’s old room and then you have a spare room here for a nursery and Rhianna can stay here just till she gets back on her feet.”
“That’s a good idea, but how am I going to get back on my feet I don’t have a job.”
“I happen to know a famous designer who is looking for someone to do some designs for her shop while she’s studying to become a doctor.”
“Really? Who?”
“Jess, she needs someone and I happen to know that you’re a good drawer and she would love to have you on her team”
“Thanks Chloe” Rhianna nodded to her.
“So, it’s decided I’m moving in with Chloe” Liam beamed.
“Yeah finally” Chloe smiled back at him.
