Trouble

No one was around and it was so quiet. It seemed like I was the only one around.

I drive home and lay down on the couch. I call Robby, and there's no answer. I call again, same thing. I close my eyes for a bit, and I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. It was Sam.

"Do you want to skip school today?" Was her first question. I check the time on my phone and it was 7 am.

"Any day" I tell her.

"Okay, I can pick you up and we can go shopping or something?" She asks. I agree and start getting ready. The doorbell rings, and I walk out to Sams car with her.

"Can I ask you something?" She asks.

"Shoot"

"Do you like cobra Kai?"

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Like training with them. Or learning aggression"

"It's not all fighting. Kreese respects us and that's number one for a good sensei." I tell her.

She doesn't say anything. When we get to the mall we sit down for lunch.

"How's Robby?" Sam asks.

"Robby? He's fine, why?"

"I know you're dating and he doesn't want to talk to me and I was just wondering" she says.

"You broke his goddamn heart Sam. Two times. I honestly don't even know why I'm here, you're the one who just one day decided to hate me"

"I know what I did was wrong-"

"Define wrong" I yell. "I know what you're trying to do. I'm not joining your dojo. Hell, I don't even want to fight in the all-valley because of all this." I stand up and walk out. I take out my phone and call Robby. This time he answers.

"Hey, I stoped by your house and you weren't there" Bobby says.

"I know, I'm not there. Can you come pick me up at the mall though? My car keys are in my room on my desk" I tell him.

"Yeah, okay. I'll be there in 10" he says and hangs up.  I wait outside for a while before I see my car pull up next to me.

"I fucking love you" I say and get in the passengers seat.

"Want to go to practice?" Robby asks.

"Sure, my bags still in the back" I tell him. We drive there and both quickly change. After everyone shows up we start warming up.

"You okay?" Robby asks me.

"Yeah, why?"

"Just asking" he says and sits in front of me. "What's on your mind?"

"I don't know. I don't know a lot of things lately." I say. "Do you ever wonder if your dad misses you, or regrets anything?"

"No, I hate him" Robby says. "What about you?"

"Yeah I guess. Neither of my parents actually cared, it was Will who raised me."

"Shut up about Will." Robby says. "We have bigger things to worry about" he says and lifts me to my feet.

Bigger things to worry about? What does that mean?

After practice I continue working with Robby when tory runs up behind us.

"Can you drive me to the movies later? I'll send you my work address" she asks.

"Movies?" I ask.

"Yeah. The drive-in" I'll text you" she says and walks off.

"That was weird" I tell Robby.

"Yeah. Kenny's going to work with us, is that okay?" He asks and I agree. Robby and Kenny walk to the back room and I meet them there after I grab my water bottle.

"Are you guys going to beat up this Hawk dude?" I hear Kenny ask.

"Is this about what happened at school yesterday?" I ask.

"You were there?" Robby asks me.

"The end, yeah"

"It doesn't matter. I can take anyone down now"

I look at Robby, who just smiles. He flips Kenny onto the ground and I try not to laugh. Silver walks in and sends Kenny out.

"Sensei Kreese told me about you two. Robby, you trained at miagi do, now cobra Kai. And Izzy, you're always looking for fights and you always win. Even against our best fighters and your brother who's in the military." He says. "You two can kick anyone's ass."

"I'll do what ever it takes to win" Robby says.

"Show me" silver says. "Both of you" me and Robby look at each other then start swinging at Silver. He kicks Robby to the floor and as he's falling I land a hit on sensei.

"You okay?" I ask Robby and help him up.

"I'm fine" he says.

"You've learned how to channel your anger, but you're afraid Robby"

"I'm not afraid of anything" robby says defensively.

"Which of the three of us are you lying to?" Silver asks. I saw right through this man. It took me until now to see what he was doing but I could tell Robby already fell for his manipulation game.

"Go change, we're going somewhere" I tell Robby. We both change out of our Gi's and get into my car.

"Go to Johnny's house, I need to talk to him" Robby says.

"Johnny, your dad?" I ask and he nods. I get there and wait in the car when Robby went to talk to him.

Robby comes back and slams the door behind him.

"Everything okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm good." He says. "Where are we meeting Tory?"

I point to the gps and start driving. We get there and she jumps into the back seat. The whole drive there was silent, I could tell Tory was pissed about something.
