Evelynn: When will daddy come back?

Ahri: I don't know but we have to wait. Papa will come back I know.

Sera: Yeah, Papa is strownge.

The kids were all in a room that was in a school. Most of the kids and parents lived there for protection while others lived around the city. The kids had been taken care of by a lady but they refused to take any sorts of help from them. It surprised all of them because they had not eaten in days and still weren't hungry. That's because of their experiment, but Akali still had to eat.

Lady: These kids aren't normal. Other than the Ionian one, all of them haven't eaten in days and it's kind of worrying.

Scarfed man: That's concerning. Not to mention that guys, a soldier maybe even a Navy seal from the clothes. If anything was to happen to these kids I don't know what that guy would do.

Lady: Well he isn't leaving soon, and the storm is coming. Maybe instead you should let him be with these kids to calm the fire, it would be great to have someone actually experience combat to help our community.

It was a hard decision, as much as it sounds great, they didn't know whom they were dealing with other than Atreus being a soldier. If anything went wrong, who knows what would happen but the scarfed man seemed to want to take the risk so he soon went to the police station where he met with him.

Atreus: Why are you here?

Scarfed man: To make amends with you.

Atreus: …. Go on.

Scarfed man: You haven't done anything out of the ordinary and with that also the kids are in a very worrying state, thus why I'm letting you out to deal with it.

Hearing this, Atreus had turned aggressive but held himself in not to attack, his only escape.

Atreus: Alright, Take me to them then.

They soon let Atreus out where he followed the person until he reached the kids where in an instant the girls quickly ram and jumped Atreus all together in tears.

Sera: WAHHH, Papa's back. Everything was so scawy, we were all so scawu!

Atreus: I'm sorry for scaring kids. I didn't mean to make you girls worried.

Akali: T-The people here are so scary too but we keep each other close.

Atreus: Well done, it's good that you kids were taking care of each other.

Lady: Actually they have been almost entirely self reliance. We almost did have to help in any way. You teach them well I. This kind of world.

Atreus turned to now see a lady standing in front of the door. The kids were still in the crying state, hugging Atreus while he was on the floor comforting them.

Lady: Oh, I'm sorry for my intrusion.

Atreus: It's fine, I'm guessing you're the scary person they meant.

Lady: I guess, I'm really the only person that approaches them. I'm Diane.

The name struck Atreus upon hearing it. His body suddenly started shaking as tears threatened to fall. Kai'sa patting Atreus scared of what happening with Atreus while Ahri answered for her

Ahri: Eh, uh Papa what's wrong?

Atreus: Huh? It's nothing. It's nothing, I'm fine.

Diane: Are you ok sir?

Atreus: Yes, I'm fine but I believe there was a reason you would let me out wouldn't it?

Scarfed man: Yes, well we worry about your kids health so the best course of action was to let you handle it.

Atreus: Well, it was a good choice. I would have done some terrible things if you had done something to them but I didn't want to break a promise I made to them.

Scarfed man: I see. Then I'll get the food for you guys, then you'll be able to feed them. A might as well leave you be and let you hang here since you proved yourself enough that you aren't hostile to our community.

Atreus: Thank you. I appreciate the kind gesture.

The person soon left and so did Diane wanted to but for some reason Kai'sa stopped her.

Diane: What is it, little one?

Kai'sa pulled her toward the group before sitting her down with the others.

Atreus: I think she wants you to stay.

Diane: Uh, I guess so.

They were quiet while the kids slowly started to lighten up the mood. The two adults though in this awkward state somehow together gave off a family-like feel to the whole thing. Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.
