Hi! I'm Lumpy Rock! The author! I wanted to talk about how I came up with the story you just read Let's get into it!

So, when I first came up with this story, I was walking along my porch waiting for my friend to get home. (We live in the same apartment building.) I had a little checker game that kinda looked like a phone, and so I started thinking, "what if this was a real phone?" and I started narrating the whole thing to myself. It was originally going to be a Pufnstuf story, but I had already done many of those. So, I thought, "why not Sigmund?" (It was going to be a sequel but we'll skip over that.)

Later that night, I was still thinking about the story. It was ten and should've been in bed but I just had to write it down. The next day I went out shopping with my dad. I brought up the fact that I didn't have names for the characters. He said, "Why not Sarah and Mary?" I didn't like those names. I came up with Lana and Lucy. It rolls off the tongue more, don't you think?

I wrote it on and off for about half a year. Then my dad told me about Wattpad. I had heard about it before but had never made an account. I took his advice and went on the website.

"What story could I put on here?" I asked myself. "The Jimmy Diaries? No, that story is way beyond repair. What about Lana and Lucy?"

I took an old printed copy and started copying it, making little changes here and there. I wrote this introduction. And now I'm writing it again. I said to myself, "I will finish this by the end of the year so I can put it in the Wattys." and I'm doing that now. Your dreams will come true little me, you just have to work for it. Though it'll never actually be in the Wattys, I'm proud I put myself out there.

So, here you go! The first Sigmund and the sea monsters fanfiction on Wattpad!

I couldn't have done this without my real-life Lucy, Journey. Thank you so much! You are my best friend in the whole world.
