Chapter 28 - The Best for Us

Michael's POV

It's been a few days since the incident happened. Y/n was put into a coma.. it was a terrifying experience for me. She nearly died.. all thanks to my stupid father. They couldn't find his body in the burnt down house. He ether escaped or died with it. I've realized many things. I haven't been careful with her or myself. We have to move out of here. Leave all this trama behind. But with my state. Seeing that I am a dead corpse now. Who knows how long i'll even last..

I've started working at the Pizzeria. Spending my money on stupid animatronics and entertainment for the kids. I wonder how y/n is doing. I looked through the catalog and then Henry came in. "Hey Henry!" "Hey kid" the sound of the metal keys hitting each other filled the room. He went over to the Employees room. I closed the catalog and rolled it up and went over to the back room. A small desk with a computer and a few drawings scattered on the wall. There was one vent for my right and the other to my left. I sat down on the uncomfortable stool and began working. I began ordering plates and printing out advertisements. I occasionally heard noises from the vent and I would turn off the ventilation system and the computer.

After 2 hours I finally got out of that terrifying room. Henry rushed over to me "Woah Henry what's wrong?" "It's.. It's y/n.." he looked over at me.

Y/N's POV

My eyes blinked open blinded my the bright lights. Where am I? I looked around seeing tubes around me. I was at the hospital. Suddenly the wave of memories hit me. Remembering everything that happened. I hope he died there. I looked around trying to find Michael. "M-michael?" I managed to mumble out. A nurse came in "My goodness" she dropped her clipboard. I looked at my hands to see m skin has been discolored with grey and purple. "W-what?" I stood up slightly looking at the burned skin that was being treated. The nurse ran out yelling "Doctor! Doctor!" I furrowed my eyebrows. The doctor came in with the same reaction and fainted. So much for being a doctor.

Michael's POV

I gripped on the steering wheel trying to rush over at the hospital. I quickly turned the steering wheel and parked the car and instantly got out of the car not waiting for Henry. I rushed in and went to the hospital room she was in. I went on the elevator and made sure the skin colored face paint was smudged on me fine. The elevator doors opened and I went over to room #26. There I saw y/n she was looking out the window "Y-y/n?" She turned her head and when I saw her.. her face had patches of grey and purple "Michael?" her eyes began to tear up "My goodness what happened to you? What did they do?!" I rushed over to her and hugged her tightly "I'm so glad you're alive" I rubbed her back and traced hearts on her back. She hid her face in the crook of my neck. "I missed you" she mumbled causing my neck to tickle a bit from the vibrations. "I missed you too" I held her tighter. I didn't want to let go. I was afraid I would lose her again if I were to let go.

Y/N's POV

I opened my eyes and noticed the bandages wrapped around him and layered clothing. I pulled away and examined him. He wore a scarf and a turtle neck and gloves and a mask "Aren't you warm from this?" I looked into his eyes and noticing he wore sunglasses "What's going on?" I placed my hand on his cheek. "I'll explain later.. did they say when-" a nurse walked in "Oh hello you must be..?" he cleared his throat "Michael, her husband" "Ah yes" she clicked her pen "Miss L/N, we need to do some more tests and have your stitches replaced and hopefully it should take up to 3 more days" we both nodded in agreement and the nurse left.

"Mind explaining to me now?" "It's not really safe for me to tell you here.. but i'll show you.." he hesitantly lifted his glasses showing robotic white eyes "w-what.." my breathing began rapidly. "I got scooped.." he unzipped his jacket and lifted his shirt. There was a large cut in the middle of his chest and it was poorly covered with bandages. His skin color was in shades of grey and purple mixed with his pale skin tone. I touched his skin and it was rough and dry "Who did this to you.." I looked up at him "The animatronics.. my sister.. she's in circus baby.. they wanted to go out but i guess she mistook me for someone." "Oh michael" tears formed in my eyes.

I felt so terrible for him. All of the things he went through and yet I wasn't able to be there for him through his teenage years. He's doing everything he can to make up for his father's sins. Yet we can't catch a break for ourselves. We can't be happy.

"Michael.. you know what we have to do.." I looked up at him and he wiped my tears away "I know.. we have to move.." "You know it's for the best for the both of us.. elizabeth isn't here to help us out on this. It's just going to get worse.. you know he won't stop till we are separated" I caressed his cheek. "I know" he mumbled.

"By the time i'm out we should get out of here.. it's not safe" "I promise i'll get you out of here.. i'll get us both out of here" he pulled his mask down and his lips looked chapped and his skin was falling apart. But I didn't mind at all. I still loved him more each day. "I'm going to need to take care of you" I smiled slightly and kissed him. He kissed back and chuckled.
