The fresh spring air flowed through the window as y/n took a nap. The white curtains swayed in the air, as birds began singing a melody. Michael had went out to get groceries to cook and buy snacks for his wife, who had been having pregnancy cravings.

It's been over a month since the whole accident happened. Y/n and Michael held a funeral, with close people, in the honor of Henry Emily. They buried him along with his children and wife. Y/n and Michael would visit their graves every weekend when they had their break during the weekend. Michael had gotten a good job as a mechanic for cars. Y/n was working from home answering calls, taking in appointments and checking out forms. It wasn't any trouble at all for her, it seemed like the easiest job she's ever had.

Everything in their life was finally calm. They planned out to move next week in California, Sacramento. It was going to be a big change for them. This was their home town. Where they grew up together, apart and back together.

Michael got up carrying the many bags in his arms and wherever else he could. He was too tired to do multiple trips. He places the bags down on the floor and kitchen counter. He leans against it taking a moment to catch his breath. He kicks off his shoes and heads back upstairs to their shared bedroom. He opens the door slightly to see y/n peacefully asleep. Her morning sickness has been getting worse, as well as her cravings. He smiles at the peaceful woman, who was growing their child. Making miracles happen.

He couldn't believe that in this moment they really were married and having a child. Tears formed in the corner of his eyes as he watched her chest rise up and down slowly. He crawled over the empty space next to her admiring the beautiful sight. She could be a model if she applied. She could do anything she wanted to do with the looks of a goddess. It wasn't only her looks that he was into. It was her whole personality. The way she talks, walks, moves. It was all so mesmerizing for him.

Y/n breathed in deep as she stretched waking up from her peaceful nap. She blinked her eyes open as Michael caught her e/c eyes. She smiled "Hello handsome" she said in her raspy voice. "Hello beautiful" he leans in closer to her as he caresses her cheek and moves a strand of hair away from her face. "Did you sleep well love?" she nodded and hummed in response, closing her eyes again, taking a moment to regain herself. "Can we go on a picnic?" "Yeah of course" he chuckles at the sight of her bed hair as she rose from the bed. Struggling a bit as the baby began developing more. "You go get ready, i'll get the stuff ready"

Michael had no problem doing anything his wife told him to do. He would risk his life to keep her happy and safe. He made his way downstairs grabbing the picnic basket and a thick red gingham blanket. He rolled up the blanket and grabbed some ingredients to make sandwiches. Y/n slowly got up from the bed placing her feet in the slippers, she walked over to the closet picking out a f/c milkmaid dress. It stretched pretty well and it was quiet comfortable for a dress. It even came with pockets, which excited the young lady.

She slipped on the dress as it hit right to her knees. She placed on some sandals and a few jewelry Michael had gotten her. He had been spoiling her for the past month, and she felt guilty about it. She felt hopeless that she couldn't spoil her husband with material things. She fixed up her hair making it look decently, fluffing it out with her hands and brushing it with a hairbrush to remove the strands of hair sticking out from her nap.

She grabbed her purse, and made her way downstairs, seeing the tired man setting things up. "Here let me help" she rushed over to Michael fixing the last of the foods. "You do too much for me, you need a break too" she frowned a bit placing the food in the basket. "I want to be a good husband and father" "Michael you already are. I'll remind you every single DAY If I have too." she chuckled "I guess I could use a break or two" he scratched the back of his hair. "Indeed. Now go change out of this, you've got sweat stains on your shirt" Michel looked down to see she wasn't joking at all. He nodded his head making his way upstairs to the bedroom.

He opened up the dresser and grabbed a white button up top, black trousers, and his shoes. He changed and went to the bathroom wetting his hair a bit and combing it to the side. He admired himself in the mirror. He smiles before turning away and leaving the bathroom. He goes downstairs, and grabs the picnic basket. Y/n helps him out with the blanket.

They enter the car placing their belongings in the backseat. "Ready?" Michael buckled himself up and inserts the key into the ignition. "Ready" y/n buckles herself up and lays her hands on her lap. Michael drives out of the parking space and drives to their park. Where they had their first date.

Y/n's POV

I turned the volume up a bit listening to my favorite song and singing the tunes. Michael chuckled and sang along with me. Michael entered the parking lot and parked a space not too far. "I feel old being here" he unbuckles his belt as he takes the key out of the ignition. "We aren't that old" I added doing the same. We get out of the car and take our belongings to find a good spot.

We set everything up near a pond where there was a couple of ducks and koi fish. Michael helped me sit down and he sat next to me. The spring air was really something different. Especially when you're with your significant other. Michael took out the sandwiches which were cut perfectly into triangles. He handed me the sand which that was wrapped in plastic. I unwrapped it and took a bit as he did the same. The ducks came waddling over to us quaking and looking over at our food. I take a piece and toss it over to them as they rush to get the first piece. I let out a laugh as Michael admires me.

After we finished we lay down and admire the clouds. "That one kinda looks like you" I point at a deformed cloud that had a human face shaped "Oh wow" he rolls his eyes jokingly as we watch the clouds slowly pass by. The colors of the sky change from blue to a mixture of orange and pink. It was quite a sight to see. It felt like time froze at this moment. There were no worries at all. Everything was right as it should be. I would be lying if I said it didn't bring me guilt. The others couldn't have this sort of freedom. But i'm sure they have their own way of freedom. The children, Henry and his family, Michael's family. It saddens me to
know how horrible of a father, William is.

Not only did he destroy his own but many others and I wasn't planning on letting him to the same for us. I would protect Michael and our baby at all costs. "I'll be right back" Michael gets up and and walks over becoming smaller and smaller. I look over at the ducks trying to distract my mind from what had happened. I just wanted to for sure be okay. It's been a month but the anxiety in my stomach, it's really difficult to forget everything i've seen.

I close my eyes feeling the air caress my face and hair. I took a deep breathes and emptied my mind. The sound of ducks and a small waterfall splashing in the pond were the only sounds to be heard. I felt someone sit back down and I open my eyes and look over to see Michael with a rose in his hand. He plucked out the thorns and handed it to me. "A rose for my gorgeous wife" "Aww thank you" my cheeks tint a pink blush and I kiss his cheek and lay my head on his shoulder. "I love you y/n" "I love you too Michael"
