You woke up the sound of pancakes coming from the kitchen. You rolled out of your big bed that you hoped to eventually grow out of soon. You rubbed your eyes and grabbed a plushie heading towards the kitchen. You found your mother mixing the batter as she flipped a couple of pancakes in the shapes of hearts. "Good morning my beautiful angel!" she picked you up into your arms and hugged you tightly. "Good morning mum!" she smiled more at your happy expression. Your father came stumbling down the stairs drunk. But of course mini you didn't know what it was. "Did you drink again f/n?" "Of course not" he growled as almost fell off the staircase. Your mother put you down as she served you a plate of pancakes "Go watch tom and jerry" she smiled at you and you cheerfully walked over to the living room and started playing tom and jerry. The muffled noises of your parents arguing grew louder and louder and you covered your ears. You sighed again as you went back up the stairs and your parents didn't seem to notice.
Your heartbeat grew faster as you ran up the stairs. You digged through your mothers purse trying to find her phone. You dig deeper then feeling the cold screen and the familiar phone case. You pulled it out and began looking for michael's mother's phone number. Once you spot Clara Afton you instantly clicked it as the phone began ringing. You then hear a sweet voice "Hello?" "H-hi my parents are fighting again.." your voice practically trembled. "I'll be right over there okay?" "Okay" you felt a bit of happiness as you ran back to your room picking out a cute summer dress with a floral pattern. You brushed your hair and fixed it in two low pony tails. You went through your closet and grabbed your favorite unicorn velcro strap sneakers. You then hear a honk coming from outside which stopped the argument between the two parents.
You grabbed your plushie and ran downstairs as Clara opened the front door and she opened her arms. You jumped into her arms and she held you tightly. "Oh clara-" "I got her" she assured my tired mother. She took me into her car and buckled me up into Michael's booster seat and she began driving to the house. You waited in anticipation to hang out with Michael. "Are you feeling okay? Do you want Mcdonald's?" your eyes lit up even more as she chuckled at your expression "Yes!" you squealed. She did a couple of turns and you arrived at Mcdonald's. She ordered your happy meal with your choice between nuggets and a hamburger. She got Michael one as well.
You arrive at their house and Clara unbuckles you and you hop off the car as she held your hand leading you to the house. She opened the front door as you rushed in the house trying to find Michael. You then hear cartoons coming from the living room and you head there. "Mikey!" you shouted and there you saw Michael with a bruise on his cheek "N/N!!" [nickname] he shouted as he went over and hugged you and you giggled hugging him back. "What happened here?!" you examined his bruise "I fell off my skateboard" he frowned "You're so silly" you stuck your tongue out. "Kids come get your food" you both rushed over to the dinner table as she placed your happy meals on the table. You both excitedly opened it revealing a plush toy and your food. You set up the food and began eating it quickly. "All finished mum!" "Alright you two go have fun" she began cleaning up our mess as we ran upstairs to his room.
His room consisted of drawings and picture frames from him and his parents. His bedsheets were a plain red and he had a fox plushie. We sat down on his carpet as he brought a couple of figures in between us. "Do you wanna play?" I nodded my head as we played along figuring out the plot along the way.
Night came in quickly and we were watching a movie as the adults were upstairs. I laid my head against mikey's shoulder. "Isn't this what couples do?" he raised his brow "no" "but my mum and fatha do it" "but we are friends!" "can we be like mum and fatha?" "Yeah!" "Okay!" he wrapped his arm over my shoulder pulling me closer as we watched cartoons.
