Night was your favorite part of the day. You were strolling down the shore near your family's cottage when you heard someone running on the sand.

You looked to your left and saw a boy with light blue hair wearing some kind of jersey jacket. You noticed this and remembered that it was the same jersey your school 'Kaijo' had went against with in a practice game. You had seen them in a game on the by-stand and you were amazed with his passes. You did not notice that you were walking to him until he spoke.

"Good evening. Who might you be?" He asked.

'Ah! I did it again!' You stopped in your tracks and sheepishly smiled.

"Ah! Sorry about that. I'm (First name) (Last name)." You said as you scratched your neck in embarrassment. He smiled a little before offering his name.

"It's nice to meet you, (Last name)-san. I'm Kuroko Tetsuya. Are you, perhaps, here with one of the teams?" He questioned. The basketball teams that were currently in the beach were Shutoku and Seirin.

"Oh, no. I'm from Kaijo and I'm their manager." It was true, not by your own will though. It was the coach who begged. As a result, you helped him with their training and in return, kindly enough, he gave you a three-day vacation.

"Is that so?" He was startled with your honesty.

"Yeah. Hey, I saw your game with Kise. It was very cool especially the part where you passed the ball to your teammates! Did you perhaps, studied about the line of sight of human beings? I noticed your style and it was really good!" You gushed. Flustered, he tried to step back and answer your question.

"Yes. May I ask how did you know?" It was rare for people to observe that much.

"When I was a kid, my parents brought me to a magic show and the magician showed us what seems to be your misdirection so I was interested and studied about it." You confessed. A surprised gleam was evident in his eyes, and you knew that he wanted more. Of course, time was not on your side.

"Ah! It's already this late!? I must go now. See you, Kuroko. Oh by the way, how long are you going to stay here?" You skid to a stop to ask. He told you that they will be training on the beach for about a week. You nodded in recognition and even envied him for that. Kaijo's coach was stingy and wanted you to come back as soon as possible.

"How short. Well it's better than mine. Say, how about we play a one-on-one in basketball tomorrow? I may not be as good as Kagami Taiga, but I can manage one on my own. So how's that?" You challenged. He agreed and with that, you bid him goodnight.

The next day, you were excited to play basketball with Kuroko so you changed very quickly and went to the gym near there. You saw Kuroko playing alone so you waved at him.

"Kuroko! Hello!" You greeted enthusiastically. He glanced at you and bowed down.

"(Last name)-san, good morning."

"Shall we begin?" You smirked. He nodded and you quickly dribbled the ball. With that, you started your one-on-one with him, and you were winning until you suddenly twisted your foot and fell down. Like any other cliché thing to happen. Your knees were bruised and your right ankle was twisted. A very good way to start a day!(Note the sarcasm)

'Ouch!'

"Are you alright, (Last name)-san?" He asked looking at you worriedly. Your face flushed at the sudden closeness which caused you to abruptly stand. What you did was stupid because it pressured your foot even more.

"Ouch."

"Here. I'll help you." Kuroko led you to a bench and took out a first-aid kit he found in the emergency box near the comfort room. He treated your bruised knees and taped your twisted ankle. Your ankle was swollen and needed some ice so he bought some.

"You shouldn't have twisted around too much, (Last name)-san. Look at you now."

"Hahaha. Sorry. That's just really how I play. I prefer to twist a lot so that my opponent will get a bit confused as to where I will go. That's my best way to find an opening." You laughed nervously.

"Surely but if you twist too much, pressure is being put out on your knees and ankle." He checked it out again before you spoke.

"Thank you, Kuroko."

"Anytime, (Last name)-san."

"You can call me (First name). I really feel old whenever you call me that." You encouraged. He nodded then he came near your face then whispered to your ear.

"Then call me Tetsuya." He whispered. Unexpectedly, he kissed you on the cheeks resulting to a bright tomato face of yours.

"A-Ah! Tetsuya! W-Why did you do that!?"

"Eh? Kagami once told me to kiss somebody you care very deeply. I guess he was wrong?"

"A-Ah! You didn't have to!"

"Oh. Am I not somebody you care, (First name)?" He looked at you dejectedly. You felt guilty so you tried to stand up and pecked him on the forehead.

"Does that answer your question?"

With that, he started courting you even after the Winter Cup and finally you said yes.
