"Wah!!! *huff huff* W-What was that...?" You quickly sat up from that nightmare. You went to the bathroom and washed your face. After that, you quickly took a cold shower and dressed to you summer uniform.

When you went outside, you saw that your childhood friend, Kagami, was there. Even though you were separated from him when you were still kids, you still considered him your best friend and also a tiny bit of crush.

"Yo Taiga! Have you been waiting that long?"
"Not really? You okay there? You're a bit pale."
"Nah. I'm fine. I just got this weird nightmare which I can't remember well. But I guess that's good since I'm not really a fan of them."

"I see. Come on time's ticking. We need to move if we don't wanna be late for class." He said as he dragged you towards school. When you stopped running, you panted very hard and said:

"Damn..huff...huff... You Taiga! You...huff... Know I don't have that enough stamina right?"

"Sorry! I got carried away. Drink your water if you're that exhausted."
"Nah. Come on. Class is going to start in 15 minutes." You quickly went to class. It was like the usual today. Class ended and now it was time for your practice. Well your friend's practice. You would always watch them and even help Riko-senpai with their towels and water.

"Good job everyone. Here."
"Thanks for always helping us (First name)-chan!"
"No problem! I'm happy to do so!"

"(First name). You want some?" Taiga came to you and offer you his food. It was tempura!

"Is it okay?"
"Yeah. I ate a lot of burgers earlier lunch time that I didn't remember this tempuras. Here."

"Thanks!" His cooking is always delicious and amazing that's why you like him but you really can't confess to him. Plus, he's very dense and a basketball idiot.

'Sigh...'

"Yum! You really are a good cook Taiga!"
"Nah. Plus you've been helping me. This is just a small payment." He's right though. You've been helping him a lot especially with his studies. There are times where you will invite him to your house for dinner since he lives alone and your parents are fond of him.

"Hahaha! No need, no need. Are you going home now?" You asked as you looked at him hopefully.

"Yeah. Just wait a minute." After he changed, you wait for him outside the school grounds. While waiting, there was this weird churn in your stomach as if something's gonna happen.

'Why do I feel weird all of a sudden?'

You felt a shiver ran down your spine as if someone's looking at you. You looked around and saw no one.

'What is this?'

"(First name)! Did I make you wait?"
"Oh.. Hey Taiga! No, you didn't. Shall we go?"
"Are you okay? You look a bit pale."
"Nah. I'm fine. Do you want to go to Maji Burger?"
"Yeah sure. Wait. I heard you had a new song to cover?" You remembered the song entitled "Ai Kotoba" and nodded.

"Yeah. Do you want to listen?"
"Sure."
"Here!" You pulled out your phone and attached the headset. You gave him the other piece while you have the other.

"I tried to do it but I haven't post it yet. Will you listen?"

While the song was almost at the end, you reached the park where you always stay during weekends. Then suddenly, it rained.

"What the!?"
"Ah.. It rained... Hahaha... I still remember the time where we will always play in the rain! You would always get angry at me! Hahahaha!"

"Hey you idiot! You're going to get sick. Get inside the umbrella." He said as he is held his own umbrella. When you were about to go to him, a gun shot was heard. You looked down and saw that it pierced your heart.

"Ta..i...g..a..."

*THUD*

"(FIRST NAME)!!!!!"
"Wake up (First name)!!! H-Hang in there! I'll call the ambulance." You took a pic of the frozen murderer who seems to mistook you as someone else.

You were slowly slipping out of consciousness so you reached to Kagami and touched his cheek. It feels warm.

"You're...w..arm.. Taiga... Hahahaa.."
"D-Don't talk anymore!! J-Just hold on!!"
"I...want you to...l..isten to this."

Your hands went limped. You were smiling. That dream must have been a premonition but if it will save him then you'd rather do so. Foolish right?

"(FIRST NAME)!!!! W-W-Wake up!! You need to! I need you!!! Please... Please... Wake up... Wake up..."

'Sorry Taiga... Goodbye....'

"(FIRST NAME)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

She died in my arms. I couldn't do anything. I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm sorry... (First name)... I love you...

'I love you too Taiga...' I looked up and I thought I heard (First name)'s voice but there wasn't anyone there in the cemetery.

"(First name)... I love you... Sorry... Argh!!!!!" I cried waterfalls while I remembered what happened. It's been days now....

After she died, I decided to keep her phone with her voice...

The voice I will never hear again...
