In the days that follow, I have taken to the routine of wandering around the campus grounds in the hope of an accidental-on-purpose meeting with Eros. And today, three days after our meeting in the library, I am blessed. Walking under one of the many stone arches around the campus, I hear my name called out from the voice that makes my heart skip.

"Cassian! Hey!" Eros jogs towards me, his black umbrella dripping at our feet as he shakes it out and folds it up. "How are you, man?"

"I am well, thank you. And yourself?"

"I'm great. Hey, I'm glad to catch you. A few friends are heading over to the uni café for a little coffee and jam session, you wanna come?" His eyes look up at me with hope while my insides twist at the chance to be close to Eros again.

"I will accept your invitation." I nod my head and watch as Eros' mouth turns up in amusement. I wait for Eros to show the way.

As we stroll together, I chance a glance over my love. He is in casual attire, blue jeans, and a long-sleeved black knitted top. He appears to be well put together, confident with a hint of innocence. Eros' face is soft, with only a slight dimple showing on his right cheek from the small smile he wears. He unfurls the umbrella and shares it with me. The simple gesture alone causes a slight jump in my stomach.

Perhaps Eros is the one courting me.

As we make our way to the 'coffee and jam' session, I feel eyes on our back. The hairs on my arms stand up and a shiver runs down my spine. We are being watched. I subtly look over my right shoulder and catch a glimpse of obsidian hair, flashing across the archway we just came from. Soren. And if Soren is here, then his twin Xander will be also. Why are they watching us? Have they not done enough damage as it is? I make a note to confront them later, for now, I shall focus on my Angel.

I allow Eros to direct me to this café; a different one to the café Onyx took me to days ago. Eros is smiling easily, and I cannot help but notice the calming effect being in his presence has on me.

As we enter the double dark wood doors, the smell of cinnamon bombards my nose and I scan the space we have just entered. This café is a far more casual setting than the first one.

To the left of us sits a small stage, complete with musical instruments fit for a band of at least five. A man and a woman are on the stage, both tuning guitars. At least twenty people are filling out the low lounges on either side of the large room, overlapping rugs and cushions splayed out on the floor, and the assortment of tables set up to the back right of the café. In the left-back of the café sits a counter, a glass cabinet that I assume displays food on offer, and further on a kitchen, only visible as a worker comes in and out of a back door.

There does not appear to be any type of color theme in here; there are multiple patterns, clashing and complimenting each other simultaneously. As boho as it all appears, it seems to work together, and the atmosphere is one of relaxed calm. I feel slightly uneasy.

Eros waves to a group of people to our right and starts walking over, looking back over his shoulder at me to ensure I am following. The warm smile he gives me causes my feet to follow more than anything else.

"Hey guys, this is my new friend, Cassian. Cassian, this is everybody," he gestures towards the group who all sit up and take turns greeting me and shaking my hand. I do not attempt to retain anybody's name.

Eros offers to buy me a drink before I can do the same. I agree humbly and watch as he walks to the counter. I look down when I hear a throat clearing.

"You like our boy?" A human girl cocks an eyebrow at me, patting the space next to her. I take a seat politely and nod slowly.
