[Ree's POV]
"I.. Uh.." Is he scared of telling me the truth or what?
"TELL ME!!" I shouted in anger.
"Dude, I don't really know what to say.. I didn't do anything to Mia 2 years ago!" Jake said.
"Oh really? YOU BROKE HER HEART, JAKE. SHE WAS HEAD OVER HEELS FOR YOU BUT THEN YOU TOLD HER DIRECTLY THAT YOU LIKE SOMEONE ELSE. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT HURTS?!" I shouted louder. I'm very mad at him for hurting Mia. Mia is such an amazing girl. She doesn't deserve something like this.
"Oh.." Ughhhh. He's getting into my nerves.
"Do you still remember?" I asked.
"Yeah. The truth is, I like Mia. She's the only girl that made my heart skip a beat. But then, I didn't know that she feels the same way." Jake confessed. Hmm, I think he's telling the truth.
"Then why did you tell her that you like Kate?" I replied.
"Uh.. It's because I was trying to find out what her reaction would be if I tell her that I like Kate. I admit, I had a crush on Kate. But Kate was just a rebound. My feelings for Kate were just a fling." He looked at me. He had a look of sincerity in his eyes. Oh well. I guess I should believe him. After a long pause, I finally asked him what I was longing to ask.
"So, what do you plan to do now?"
"Actually, I don't really know." He sighed.
"She's now in love with Bryan Holland." I told him hesitantly.
"W-what?"
"Yeah. But don't worry, I know that she still likes you. Just like Kate, Bryan is only a rebound. But be careful though, Bryan might steal Mia's heart from you." I warned him as early as possible.
"Do you think I still have a chance?"
"Yeah. Of course. You two are perfect." I smiled.
"JAKE, WHERE ARE YOUUUUUU?!" Someone suddenly barged in. I looked up and saw David, Jake's annoying best friend.
"I'm right here." Jake raised his right hand.
"OHHH THERE YOU ARE. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU. I MISS YOU SO MUCH, BRO." He ran towards Jake and hugged him tightly.
"Eww. Are you gay?" I looked at David weirdly.
"Excuse me. Who do you think you are talking to?" He let go of Jake and approached me slowly.
"I'm talking to David Lewis." I raised my eyebrow. Pfft.
"Do you know who David Lewis is?" He asked again.
"David Lewis is the MVP player of Badminton Club." I rolled my eyes. He's sooooo annoying.
"Good. And now, who are you, Sadako?" Jake snorted from behind.
"My name is Ree Lawson and not Sadako. Damn. Now, do YOU even know who Ree Lawson is?" Obviously, I emphasized the word "you".
"Eh. No?" He grinned awkwardly. He thinks he's funny huh. Tss. No.
"Then fuck you." I raised my fist up and smacked him.
"SHIT! I didn't expect that."
"Good for you." I smirked evilly.
"Kiss it, Sadako." I froze at my spot.
"What?" Please don't blush, Ree. Please don't blush.
"Kiss my cheeks. And why? Because you smacked it." And now, he's the one who's smirking at me.
"No way!" Damn no!
"Yes way! Now kiss it, Ree. Kisssssss. Kiss meeeeee." He whined. He's so childish. Wtf.
"No, no, and NO!" I shouted.
"Ehem. I'm still here, guys." Jake said in a 'duh' tone.
"Okay then. If you don't want to kiss me, then I'll be the one to kiss you. Mwehehehe." Holy potato macaroni. I must get out of here now!
...
Before I knew it, David kissed my left cheek.
"KYAAAAAHHHH!! デビッドは私にキスをした! 受け入れられない!!!" I screamed so loud.
(KYAAAAAHHHH!! David kissed me! UNACCEPTABLE!!!")
[Jake's POV]
That was a good lie. Ree believed it and that's good. I didn't tell Mia that I like Kate just because I wanted to know what her reaction would be if she finds out. Kate was never a rebound. She never was.
[David's POV]
"Stop screaming, Ree! You're hurting my ears!!" Jake begged.
"Same here!!" I agreed.
Ree's scream really hurts people's ears. But hey, she's so kawaii. I used 'kawaii' because she's Japanese. I don't why but I admire her fearlessness. I felt my heart beat when she smacked my face. I liked the way she hurt me. Wtf. Sounds crazy, right? But there's only one thing in my mind: I want to date this Japanese girl.
"Ree!!!" A group of girls entered the room. There were 4 of them.
"What the hell is happening in here?" Said the blonde one. The ends of her hair were highlighted with sky blue.
"この男は私にキスをした!" Ree pointed her finger at me. What. The. Heck?
(This guy kissed me!)
"女の子、あなたは何をすべきかを知っている." Said the blonde one to the rest of the girls.
(Girls, you know what to do.)
Uh-oh. I have a bad feeling about this.
