3:26 pm, Aether's room

Aether's POV

I rubbed my eyes as they start to widen. I then yawned and stretched. I grabbed my phone and check the time. 'I slept for a while now' I thought. I wanted to get out of bed but I was really lazy and didn't want to. The bed was so fluffy and so comfortable, I could stay here forever. My eyes start to close but I hear the doorbell ring. I got out of bed even though I didn't want to. I walked to the living room where the door is and then I rubbed my eyes again. I opened the door. At the door was Xiao. "Oh hey Xiao" I said. "Hey" he replied. "What are you doing here?" I asked. I look at him, at his eyes. We were making eye contact. Xiao finally replied with "Oh well I thought I could've came over. I could uhm leave if you want me to". "No, no, I'd love to have you over" I said, hoping he wouldn't leave. "Ah- Okay, may I come in?" Xiao asked. "Of course!" He walked in and looked around. "I haven't been here in a while" he said, surprised and excitedly. I looked at him and smiled. "I'm going to go to my room now. If you want, you can explore. I trust you" I said, yawning. I walked away to my room and went on my laptop to work again.

End of Aether's POV

3:32 pm, Aether's house

Xiao's POV

I looked at Aether while he was walking away then stopped looking. I didn't really know what to do or what to think about. But when Aether said "I trust you", it made me have a feeling I've never had before. I don't know what this feeling is. But I really want to find out. I walked to the couch and sat down. This is a pretty comfy and soft couch. I pulled out my phone from my pocket and scrolled through Instagram. I got bored a few minutes later and looked at the time. '3:39' I thought. I turned off my phone and looked around. I wanted to bother Aether but I'm not sure where his room is. I haven't been here and ages and I forgot everything. 'I guess I'll try looking for Aether's room' I thought. I got up from the couch and looked around. First, I looked at the 2 rooms on the right side of the kitchen. Those were just guest rooms. I then looked at the room on the left side of the living room. This was my room back then. I used to visit a lot and I even got my own room since I loved visiting. But since high-school came, I didn't really get to visit often anymore since I have to study for my exams and tests. I don't overwork like Aether though. I walked out of the room. The room next to it has to be Aether's since it was the last one. I knocked on the door. "Come in" Aether shouted. I tried to open the door but it was locked, 'What was he doing?' I asked myself. "Your door is locked!" I shouted to Aether. I was both very confused and curious. He walked up to the door, unlocked it, and opened it for me. "Sorry I locked it, I thought Xiangling would be here at this time and I really want to hide from her! She brought Venti and Venti really is a tease! He'll call me a nerd and Xiangling will laugh." Aether said very fast. I looked at him, confused. "Xiangling's coming?" I asked. "Yeah" Aether said. "Oh. If she is bringing Venti then.." I laughed. Aether looked at me, looking a bit angry. "Well, it's all a joke. Don't take it too seriously, Aether" I said, trying to comfort him. He looked at me in the eyes and I looked at him in the eyes too. Aether grabbed my hand and pulled me to his room. "I could walk y'know" I said when I was in the room. Aether laughed and flopped himself on his bed. "What are you doing?" I asked as I went to his bed and looked at his laptop. "Well I'm trying to finish this assignment. It's due today and I really don't want another missing assignment. I just started today." He answered while he was typing. I looked at the screen. "Don't overwork yourself! Make sure to take breaks" I said. "Well I took a nap today, be proud!" Aether said. "You also sound like a parent" he added. "Hey, I do not!" I said. He started to laugh. I looked at him and smiled. I started to laugh as well.

3:55 pm, Aether's room

Time has passed. And after minutes, possibly hours of convincing Aether to take a break, he finally decided to. We used to love playing hide and seek, so I thought we could play that to kill time. Aether agreed and said I'm seeker. I began counting, "1, 2, 3, 4..." This made me feel like a child again. I finished counting to 20 and I started to look for Aether. The first place I checked was his room. I knew his room was his favorite place to hide. Well, that was back then. I thought he would still hide here. I checked under his bed and desk, I kinda checked everywhere I guess. I opened the closet door and there he is, hiding in the closet. "You found me! Now you can hide" Aether said, smiling. I smiled back. He walked out of the room and went to the living room. I went to one of the guest rooms and hid under the desk. I waited for a few minutes and I bet he was done counting. Well, he had to be done. I heard him open the door and walk in. He started to check everywhere but under the desk. But I saw a shadow in front of me and he bent down. "Found you!" Aether said. I got up but bumped my head. "Ow!" I said. I got up and we both started to laugh. "Are you okay, Xiao?" Aether asked. "Yup" I answered. We both walked to the living room and sat on the couch. "I'm going to get some snacks" Aether said. I nodded and pulled out my phone. I looked at my messages and Venti texted me.

Venti: Hey! Xiangling and I are coming over to Aether's house right now. Want to join?

Xiao: Oh I'm already at Aether's house

Venti: Hmm.. Anything happened there?

Xiao: No, why?

Venti: Well I don't know

Xiao: I guess I'll see you at Aether's house

Venti: Yup! Cya

I wonder why he asked me if anything happened. Like something would happen when he's not here. Aether came back with a chip bag. He opens it and starts to eat some. I started to feel that sleepiness is taking over and closed my eyes. I started to sleep.
