XIAO'S POV
I ran to the kitchen as I felt my heart beating like a drum. What was that? What did I do and how did I feel? Does Aether think I'm okay? I don't even know if he's straight or not.. Well I guess he did kiss me but that doesn't really mean anything. I don't know how to feel about this. I want to get rid of this strange, warm feeling. It makes me really nervous and I don't know what to do about it. I guess I can just get ready to go back to my house. I mean, I have spent too much time here. I went to the bathroom to get ready. I brushed my teeth and took a shower. Afterwards I changed. Once I got out of the bathroom, I went to the living room. I didn't see Aether on the couch. Maybe he was making food or is in his room. Oh well. I walked to the shoe-rack, got my shoes, and put them on. I turned around and saw Aether. He was on his phone. Ugh. I'm supposed to get rid of this feeling, not make it worse. I tied my shoelaces and was about to head out but someone was hugging me. I know it was Aether. I needed to leave but I didn't want to. I turned as red as a tomato. "Why're you leaving?" Aether asked, confused. I ignored him. I wanted to get out of this house right here, right now. I didn't have a choice but to push Aether and run out of the door.
END OF XIAO'S POV
Aether just sat there, heartbroken. He thought he did something wrong to the someone he loves. But the problem is, he doesn't know what he did wrong. Aether started to cry and got up. He was miserable. He wanted to scream. But he wanted to fix everything. Was Xiao ignoring him because he doesn't want to be his friend? He walked to his looking down and went to his laptop. 'Well.. Now that Xiao isn't here, I guess I can do more work..' Aether thought as he turned the laptop on. He grabbed his folder, opened it, and got a few pieces of ripped paper out of it. 'These were the notes Xiao and I passed during class a year ago' Aether thought.
He smiled at the tiny pieces of paper. After that, he put the paper back. Aether grabbed his assignment and continued his work while thinking about Xiao. He wonders what Xiao is doing now.
XIAO'S POV
Once I ran out of Aether's house, I immediately fell to the floor. I felt so bad for Aether. His best friend pushing him away... But I had no choice. He wouldn't leg go and I wanted to get out of there quickly. I sighed and started to walk to my house. I stared at everyone around me and looked around. It feels like I haven't been here in a while.. I don't know why. It's just an unknown feeling I guess. I walked up the concrete stairs and open the door. I look around again and walk slowly to my room. I fall face flat onto the bed and thought of nothing. Later I got changed and sat on my bed. I stared at the window. I feel like doing nothing, it was so boring without anyone. I feel as if everyone was busy. I could maybe text Aether.. No. He probably doesn't want to talk to me after what happened. I looked at my phone on Instagram. I saw Xiangling's new post. She was with Chongyun. I smiled. She seemed to have wayy more fun. I wish Aether didn't cancel the hangout.. We could've done a lot of things. It's so boring! I throw my phone on the bed and sigh. Maybe I should text Aether and apologize. Then maybe we can hang out. Yeah that's a good idea. I grab my phone and went to Aether and I's messages.
Xiao: Hey...
Aether: Oh hey Xiao. What's up?
Xiao: I just wanted to say sorry.
Aether: Oh? But you did nothing.
Xiao: Well still. I'm sorry. Do you want to hang out tomorrow?
Aether: Sure I guess.
Xiao: What are you doing?
Aether: Working.
Xiao: You really don't listen.
Aether: Haha. I'll see you tomorrow. I need to do something.
Xiao: Alright. Bye. Don't overwork!
Aether: I won't! Haha.
That boy.. He really doesn't listen. *sighs* Maybe I can distract him and make him not overwork... But how? I'll think about this later. I'm tired... I grab a blanket that was sitting in front of me and put it over me then stared at the ceiling. I closed my eyes slowly and tried to fall asleep but couldn't. I was thinking of so many things at once. I end up falling asleep peacefully.

AETHER'S POV
When I finished my work, I started to think more about Xiao. How am I going to get his attention? How am I supposed to talk to him? How am I supposed to even interact with him or be treated like his friend? Am I even his friend? I feel like I'm thinking too hard. Maybe I should just take a break. I mean I am almost done this writing, just a few more words. But if I take a break now, I won't be able to finish it. I think it's best if I finish it now so I won't have to worry about it.. Yeah. I start typing once again while slowly closing my eyes. I fell asleep on the table. I had a nightmare. About everyone leaving me and avoiding me. I don't know how I feel about that. But it kind of hurt when I saw Xiao walk away from me. I wake up, rubbing my eyes and looked around the room. I saw Xiao right next to me.
