It was the day of the winter solstice after then Giant War. Both camps were gathered here for the reward ceremony. Music floated through the vast pathways leading up to Olympus, where the council was seated in their thrones.
"HEROES!" Zeus' voice boomed. "As a thanks for standing by Olympus during his war, we would like to gift each of you with partial immortality. Serve Olympus well."
"As for the seven, for leading this war, we grant you all godhood. Do you accept?"
Everyone accepted godhood. Except one.
That one was none other than Percy Jackson himself.
"I'm sorry, but I have to graciously decline, instead, can you give Hades, Hestia and Hecate thrones? Hades and Hestia are the eldest gods, and Hecate has deserves hers."
Zeus sighed, but he expected it.
"Fine, but you must accept our blessings."
"Fine."
With a wave of his hand, three thrones appeared. A dark black obsidian throne made of bones, a warm wooden throne with flickering flames, and a dark purple throne with white mist swirling around the base. The god and goddesses happily accepted them.
Then the gods blessed him.
Zeus - Wings and ability to summon lightning bolts
Poseidon - Enhanced water powers, shapeshifting abilities
Hades - Ability to summon precious gems, shadow control and raising undead
Athena - Quick thinking and good at battle strategies
Aphrodite - Summon any clothing and change appearance
Apollo - Ability to use a bow, shoot light beams, healing powers
Artemis - Ability to talk to wild animals, shoot moon beams
Demeter - Ability to grow plants at will
Hepheastus - Ability to forge well, be able to wield and be immune to fire
Hera - Ability to tell family bonds
Hestia - Summon homemade food, gift a person with hope
Ares - Knowledge on every weapon, easy to pick up and learn
Dionysus - Immune to madness and insanity, unable to get drunk
Hermes - Fast speed, understand and speak universal languages, excellent sneaking skills
Hecate - Ability to enchant weapons and armour and brew potions, excellent manipulation of the mist
And with that he blacked out.
