Chapter 7 : Leave Me Alone

23 years after Percy met Chaos...
Thalia and Nico, or πεύκο and Ombra(πεύκο is Pine in Greek, Ombra is Shadow in Italian) were travelling around the universe, trying to kill evil lords whilst searching for Percy.

Key word trying.

Every single time they arrived the evil guy's palace, they were already dead, with a slit throat. People were already rejoicing outside, celebrating the death of their king.

When they asked who killed the king, people looked shocked.

"How could you not know? We call him the Silent One, or his name, the Shattered Phoenix."

Oh. The guy Chaos met 23 years ago. Chaos wanted to have a chat with him, but he hasn't seen him after that one meeting.

One day, the 2 were wandering around the planet Neblós when the found a small clearing that was hidden away from view. They sat down and began to discuss ways on how to find Percy and look for the Shattered Phoenix.

Suddenly, an dagger protruded out of nowhere and embedded itself in between Nico's fingers. He yelped and Thalia jumped up, scanning the forest for intruders.

"Wait, theres a note on the dagger. It says, 'Don't come looking for me, I don't appreciate it and I don't wish to go back to earth. I don't know when you became Chaos' assassins, but leave me alone Thalia and Nico. Signed, Percy.'" Nico said.

"Percy, wait! We just wanted to talk."

Another note appeared in thin air.

'As much as I appreciate you guys not trusting them, you did nothing for 109 years. You shunned me aside. You could've searched for me alone, but I guess your jobs are more important than friends. I'm doing fine on my own so LEAVE ME ALONE!'

Thalia sighed. "We are NOT about to give up finding you Percy, even if it's the last thing I'd do."

Up in a tree, the assassin was leaning on the trunk, watching emotionlessly as his cousins plotted on how to capture him. After sending those 2 notes, he vapour travelled to his spaceship and began to write to his mothers. It's been 2 centuries since he had last sent a letter, and figured his moms were gonna kill him.

Dear Hestia and Hecate,
Sorry I haven't been writing for so long, I got quite busy. How have you guys been?

I saw Thalia and Nico today. Thanks for the heads up all those years ago. I wouldn't have known how to respond if I saw them today. They were sitting in my hidden forest clearing.

I just wish I had someone for me out there. I don't trust them anymore. Heck, apart from you two, everyone just ends up either leaving me, betraying me or pushing me down. I feel like my heart is cracking more and more each day.

Did I mention I met Chaos 23 years ago? When I saw him, my heart cracked even more. He seemed so nice, but he's another thing I can't get. I pushed him aside, because I don't think I can stand another betrayal. I would literally be dangling at the edge of insanity, but I can't fall with Dionysus' blessing.

I found out how to mix my water and fire powers. I quit using my water powers as they're just a painful remembrance of how even my own father pushed me down. I mainly use my wings, my fire and mist powers. It's just too painful.

Anyway, I created Aqua fire. It's the most deadly fire there is. But I don't use it, as the flames are blue and I feel like crying every time I see it, yet I can't.

I've been having panic attacks, but I got pills to suppress it so I wouldn't get them when I'm on the job.

Also, I was practicing sparring a few days ago. But I scratched myself. When I went to bandage it, my blood was half red, half gold and silver. It's not ichor, as it's not pure gold, and I can't explain the silver flecks. What is happening to me?

I think I'm going to visit on my 1 millennia anniversary of leaving. I've been successful suppressing my emotions, but it's going to be hard, especially going back to a place with so many heartbreaking memories.

Oh well.

Percy then sent the letter and lay down on his bed. He grabbed his non trackable phone and started playing Shadow of Mine by Alec Benjamin on loop. He let go of his emotionless facade, and tears ran down his face.

After seeing Thalia and Nico, memories came flowing out from the bottle that was screwed tightly shut, exploding in his face full force.

He was in a flashback for 4 days. When he finally came to, he weakly stumbled over to grab his mask and hood, teleporting to the forest in Neblós.
