Thalia POV
I was practicing my archery skills, waiting for milady to return.Whilst my arrow was nocked back, Artemis flashed in front of me on accident, making me yelp and nearly let loose my arrow.
Artemis' face looked troubled, worry and anger clearly written on her face.
"Mi'lady, what's wrong?"
"Tell the hunt to pack up. We're leaving first thing in the morning. Zeus assigned us to go on a hunt."
"What are we hunting, milady?"
"Your cousin, Perseus. All the gods and goddesses are helping except for Hestia and Hecate."
Hearing that name caused anger to bubble up inside of me. Ever since I heard what happened to him, I had begged Lady Artemis to allow me to go search for him, but she refused and said she would not go after a 'pig'.
I knew Percy didn't do those things, and Nico and I were too late to stop it. We were devastated when we found out he left, and my Lady didn't even care!
"Excuse me?! A whole century ago, I had asked and begged you to let me search for him, and NOW you finally decide to search for him?! What are you going to do, execute him now? I can't believe you! You know what, I resign my place as a huntress. I'm going to find Nico and actually try to save him."
With that, I threw the circlet on the floor.
"Thalia, wait—"
"Save it, Artemis," I snarled. "You gods and goddesses don't even deserve to be called Lords and Ladies. I've had it. Don't come looking for me unless you want your sorry asses beaten."
I stomped off, grabbing all the things inside my tent and IMed Nico.
"Oh Fleecy, do me a solid and show me Nico di Angelo."
When the picture focused, I could see Nico yelling at his dad.
"HOW COULD YOU? HE GAVE YOU A THRONE, AND AFTER SHUNNING HIM FOR A CENTURY YOU FINALLY DECIDE TO LOOK FOR HIM?"
Finally he noticed the Iris message and calmed down.
"Hey Thals,"
"Same problem with your dad? Percy?"
"Yep."
"Good. I resigned from the hunt, come pick me up. We're going to find Percy ourselves."
Nico nodded and glared at Hades.
"I won't be seeing you in a while. Don't come looking for me."
Nico then sliced through the message, reappearing right next to her with a backpack slung on his shoulder. Thalia shrunk her own tent down and grabbed her pack.
"Let's go."
1 week later...
3rd Person POV
Thalia and Nico were about to travel to Alaska to look for Percy when Hestia and Hecate flashed in front of them."What do you want?" Thalia sneered. "If you didn't notice, we're trying to look for Percy. We're upset at you guys for not believing us that he is not a traitor all those years ago. Now if you'll excuse us—"
Hestia and Hecate chuckled.
"Dear, I know you are loyal to Percy, and so are me and Hecate. You won't be able to find him in Alaska." Hestia smiled warmly.
"Oh. Where can I find him then?" Thalia questioned.
They both sighed sadly.
"Haven't you realised no god or goddess had sensed him in their domains yet? Even Apollo, who overlooks everything on Earth. However, he isn't on Earth, he's in space. Even we don't know what he does up there. We also adopted him as a son, everyone knows but no one knows who he is."
"Oh great. Now all we have to do is get ourselves in space and start searching thousands of planets for him. Any ideas how to get there?" Nico asks.
"The only way we know opens every 10 years, on the day before the summer solstice. You guys just missed it."
"Oh come on!" Thalia cried, upset.
"There is another way." A voice sounded.
"Who are you? Show yourself!" Thalia snarled, activating Aegis, causing everyone to stumble back.
A portal opened and an 18 year old man stepped out of it. Hestia and Hecate nodded their heads as a show of respect.
The man chuckled, "Good, you remember I hate formalities. As for who I am, I'm Chaos, creator of the universe and stuff. I have a proposition for you,"
"You two join my army as my personal assassins. I will train you for 500 years, then aside from a few missions here and there, you're free to go find Percy. Also, you don't have to deal with Zeus and the other dramatic idiots."
Thalia and Nico looked at each other and nodded.
"Sure, we'd love to Chaos." He smiled, and beckoned them into the portal.
"Wait," Hestia exclaimed.
"We would like to bless you for always sticking by Percy's side. Do you accept?"
Thalia shrugged. "Sure, I guess."
Hestia and Hecate smiled.
"We give you the ability to wield fire, as well as be able to manipulate the mist much easier."
After that, they waved goodbye and followed Chaos into the portal.
