IX: Crimson Red

3rd Person's POV

Yeji has been feeling a little too tired lately, even without using her energy. She lost focus on her subjects, on herself as she kept thinking about what was the contract she had this time. She's been spending her time thinking and napping whenever Ryujin isn't home.

She kept checking her girl, for the possible effects of their relationship this time but Ryujin didn't show anything like before. This time it was her yet she was completely unaware.

Yeji's POV

I groaned upon hearing the sound of the alarm and my body aching. Ryujin is beside me, still sleeping heavily. I went to reach her phone to turn it off. I feel like i need more sleep but i slept long already. This is weird.

"Ryuddaeng~" i sweetly whispered in her ear to wake her up.

She needs to get to work.

"Ryuddaeng~~" i called again.

She opened her eyes and glanced at me. A smile formed on her face the moment she saw me clearly. I smiled as well. Oh to wake her up everyday like this.

"I'll see you later, Yeddeong!" she said happily.

I waved her and Jisu goodbye after. Yuna is beside me since i called her this morning. I wanted to check on something.

The two of us then flew somewhere faraway. We're on a canyon staring down at the river.

"Why did we come here, unnie?" Yuna asked.

"Don't you feel weak staying here?"

"I do--" i didn't let her finish and talked again,

"No, like your energy is low even without using it," i told her.

She gave me a frown.

"Attack me." I ordered her. She was shocked and was about to complain when i glared at her.

She wasn't doing anything so i decided to attack first which she dodged successfully. That's when she started attacking as well, as we both flew up to fight each other. I'm feeling frustrated seeing myself slowed down a bit than my usual speed. Something's wrong.

I chased Yuna fast trying to hit her with my dark energy but i kept missing. She then flew back to me, fast, that i didn't see it coming. She managed to hit me on my side causing me to fall. I tried to focus on the wound and heal myself to fly back up but i couldn't. Yuna realized what's happening and she flew to me right away and caught me.

"Yeji unnie..." she called worriedly.

"Ahhh-" i put my hand over the wound and tried to heal it again. It's causing pain to my whole system.

That's when i saw it. Crimson Red blood continually escaping the wound without it shrinking even just a little.

"Yeji!" Yuna exclaimed as she tried to help me with the wound on my side.

"I'm so sorry-"

She carried me, and brought me back to where Chaeryeong is since I couldn't fly again out of weakness.
