V: Teardrops, Raindrops

3rd Person's POV

It's been a week since Yeji had been staying on earth. She's now getting used, again, to the mortal ways. It's a normal day and Yeji is sitting on the tree together with Chaeryeong, just watching Ryujin work.

Chaeryeong is still feeling awkward that Yeji is being nice to her and given that Yeji is drinking whiskey beside her.

It's 10 am.

"Would you like wine then?" the cat-eyed woman asked her.

She just shook her head.

The two remained quiet as time passed by. Yeji is already drunk. Chaeryeong offered her to bring her home but she was stubborn.

"No, I'll wait for Ryujin!" she said while pouting.

Chaeryeong is younger than her, probably the same age with Yuna. She didn't know what to do to Hell's ruler acting like a kid.

"Unnie, j-just go to her house later,"

"You're drunk unnie..."

Yeji just ignored Chaer but she stood up. She let out her black wings and immediately flew somewhere else, leaving Chaer stunned.

She landed on a meadow near on a bridge. She's all alone since almost everyone is at work that time.

She took a nap and woke up when raindrops started to fall on her face. She just stayed laying down, just feeling all the rain falling down on her. Hot water started touching her face as well, it was her tears.

"I know we had a deal..." she said trying to communicate with the one up there.

"I won't give her up,"

"I won't give her up..." she mumbled one more time.

"Yeji?!"

Ryujin's shift is over and she just came out of the cemetery. She went to visit the granny's grave, the one who sells her sweet tangerines.

She was enjoying the rain, as some other people do. She would try to catch the raindrops or spin her umbrella. She crossed the road and her glance went to the area near the river. That's when she saw a woman laying down under the rain.

"Yeji?!"

She ran to her and saw Yeji chuckling on her own.

Yeji finally noticed her presence as she sat down looking so surprised.

"Ryudda--Ryujin."

"What are you doing here?" Ryujin asked worriedly.

She's acting too worried for a stranger.

"You might get sick!" she said again as she grabbed Yeji up to share the umbrella with her.

Yeji is soaking wet, now hugging herself.

"Aish," Ryujin uttered.

"Come on, let's go home," she said making Yeji's heart flutter.

Ryujin insisted that she'll take Yeji to her house and so she did. She went inside and can't help but to be amazed seeing all the expensive furnitures Yeji has. Yeji went out the shower after Ryujin scolded her.

The alcohol is still in her system, causing her to feel hotness in her body. She walked up to Ryujin, and kissed her aggressively. Ryujin was stunned at first but responded to it. It's like it came natural to her, Yeji's touch seemed so familiar.

The next thing they knew were them both in bed. Ryujin on top of Yeji. Yeji let out a soft moan as Ryujin starts caressing her thigh. The two were lost in each other's touch when Yeji realized something. She wanted Ryujin so bad yet she didn't want it to be like this. She pushed Ryujin back.

Her tears won't stop from falling seeing Ryujin looked at her so confused. But no matter how she tried to fight herself,  she ended up letting her desire win. She gave Ryujin her memories back.

"Yeddeong--" Ryujin said to her.

She got so worried seeing Yeji cry so much. She wiped her cheeks and gave her a soft kiss on the lips.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

She didn't answer and instead hugged Ryujin.

"Don't forget me, Ryuddaeng," she said as she sniffles.

"I won't," Ryujin answered.

Ryujin's mind is in chaos, once again but it became more clear. She remembered all the recent days she spent with Yeji. She finally understood why she's feeling empty in the last few days. That she kept forgetting about her Yeddeong.

But still, the memories she knew about Yeji leaving is just her disappearing one day.

"I won't forget you again, Yeddeong-ah," she reassured her girl as she kissed her temple.

Yeji is still crying like a baby. She's been feeling too much pain together with the alcohol in her system.

"Hush now baby, you're still beautiful when you cry but i hate seeing you like this," she said trying to cheer her girl up.

"I love you," she mouthed.

She tilted Yeji's head up and gave her a peck on the lips. Yeji started to settle down with Ryujin caressing her head.

"What were you doing there earlier?"

They're cuddling on Yeji's bed feeling the warmth of each other in this rainy day.

"I was drinking, and i was too tired to find shelter." Yeji answered.

"Why didn't you call me asap? Why did you let me treat you like that?" she said. Ryujin's frustrated at herself remembering how she treated Yeji at those times she didn't remember her.

"I--i was conflicted. I wanted to give up, since you already have a life without me--" she didn't let Yeji finished.

"I would never want a life without you!" she exclaimed staring intensely at Yeji's eyes.

"But...Lia-" Yeji asked, wanting to know the answer.

"I don't feel anything towards her--"

"No, that's because you know me right now, Ryujin."

Ryujin couldn't respond. She was aware of how she and Lia is now. Though it wasn't really clear, she knew she did have feelings for her.

Yeji let out a sigh. Followed by Ryujin.

"I'm sorry," Yeji said. She then buried her face on Ryujin's chest.

Yeji fell into sleep whilst Ryujin is busy thinking about how could she not forget about Yeji. That's when she decided. She won't sleep tonight.

And she was right. The next morning she greeted Yeji with a kiss on the forehead while holding a cup of coffee. The 2nd cup she had that night. She thinks she could keep this up.
